  1. WENT TO "TIME 2 SHINE" CAR SHOW - DALTON GA., 8/5/2017 I BUT there was one guy who came up and said, as he swung his arm in an arc covering the whole showroom, "I looked at all those cars, working my way just to see this one (RB). Best car of the show.". Whooh, best compliment of the day! We had a wonderful day Jai

  2. Dadsun, Great name - it's what I have the personalized license plate on my 240. It started off years ago when my son bought a '71 and enjoyed it until it needed some serious work and he needed a reliable way to get to his job. I bought it off him so he could buy a new car. I wanted to restore the 240, and a little over a decade later, and two donor cars, with Son doing much of the grunt work, we got it on the road with the DADSON plate.

  3. If I was a potential player on this Z ... I would machine the block serial number off the block and stamp the correct number in it's place! But I never said that!

  5. Hello Pmg: I saw in your post in the Roadster thread that you were interested in one. Well, i have a 68 that I bought 11 years ago and have been unable to work on it since being injured at work in 09, so it is in the same shape I got it. It has been in a dry garage all this time. Here is a post of it when I got it. It has a few more miles since posting as I drove it around for several months. Here is the thread about it. If you would like to talk about it on the phone, please call me at 620-491-1131. Let me know what you think. Thank you for your time. Lonny Bauer "Bonzi Lon" Kingman, KS

  6. I just want to express my sincere appreciation to the folks who took the time to respond to my brake pedal inquiry. The response I got makes me feel like part of a family and I wish I could thank you all in person. I have loved my Z from the day I got her and being part of the Z family is just icing on the cake. God bless all of you!

  7. I sold a completely rebuilt set a couple of years ago and they brought around $800.00. I had a fortune in rebuild parts. They are just not as desirable as the Mikuni probably due to the history with Datsun racing. I would be interested in buying them if the price is right. I would also be willing to due a partial trade, if I have anything you need, and cash. Jerry Purcell

  8. Finally picked up the from the shop! I had the new flexplate dropped in; front calipers replaced with stock; rear brakes replaced and rotors turned; had to run new brake line to the rear; a new stock master brake cylinder; new brake fluid. I ended up upgrading the rear tires to 205 60 14 'cause the 1994 tires shredded in the 100+ heat. After driving in first rain storm I noticed several things... 1) the original wipers suck. I not talking blades, but power to keep the water off the windshield. 2) The defroster isn't strong enough to keep the windshield from fogging up. Any have the same observations? Suggestions. Of course next planned purchase is the two front tires upgraded to 205 also. Scared they might be '94's also.

  12. Hey there Scanlon, Twice in the past 2 years I've been traveling in your area and never took the time to visit - so sorry. My daughter now lives in Portland (across the river from you) and I've not been visiting this site for a while. I've got a Jeep also now I'm in to offroading sooooooo.... Ill be coming to Portland sometime in April for my new granddaughter's arrival. Hopefully I'll get some time to visit if you wouldn't mind. Still have the Z but I think it's time to sell. Just don't have the time anymore. We travel from Florida 6 months out of the year all over but mostly to the Northwest (Bremerton and Portland). Still I'd like to visit if OK? Just let me know. 13. I wish we could collapse threads to last post in "Content I follow" Now it seems I have to scroll for pages to find an older thread I want to reread... meanwhile I have two pages of "updates" on a single thread...

  14. Hello Kats! Of course you may use my pictures. They are scans from Nissan brochures. Would you like me to send you a Cd of my collection? I could also give you references to the pictures. Oh my! I have stories to tell you about the Z convention in San Antonio. What fun! We found a junk yard with a very complete April 1970 car. #3433 I took many interior parts and the vented rotor brake discs. Mike Bame, Fred Buoni, and Eiji Hosomi were with me. All my best

  15. Dirty word...dirty word...dirty word... Life sucks hard! I've lost my status of NEVER having an accident. Due to steering wheel being tough to turn at zero speed, and stress about semi, Redbird met a sign pole by mistake. My insurance will cover 100% of the repairs because I have met the deductible. No $ will come out of my pocket for repair. I guess that is the best part. What I need from you my friends, is places the parts needed can be found. I'd like to hand that info to the repair shop. I'm going to see if I can get them to have the parts on hand before I turn her in. To say I am severely depressed is putting it mildly. I hate to see my pride and joy in this condition. Know that feeling??? Jai
