Zcargarage Big Brake Kit
Does the kit come with front and back brakes? What is the selection of pads that fit?

1970 Franklin Mint 240Z up for Auction on BaT
The VIN number is not super low but it has a lot of pedigree and documentation to counter that. Does anyone see any flaws in the car?

HLS30-01881 for Sale on Craigslist
I might could have helped you get a title through SC, in the future. We can apply for a title if it's never been title in SC and is over 30 yrs old. Takes a little while but we have had success with this route in the past.

there is a flat pad on the upper left corner of the block on the passenger side. There are numbers engraved in it. They can be difficult to read sometimes

Fuel pump issues!
Starting fluid shouldn't hurt anything that I know of. Diesels are another matter entirely

Steering Wheel from Japan
That's a plausible theory. Would someone like Matsuo san be able to shed some light on that?

You need to double check the actual numbers on the dizzy against the chart unless you're positive the dizzy has never been changed in 50 years

If it's rusty, that makes it even harder to add lots of torque. All the S30 cars are appreciating very fast right now. The early cars especially. The later cars are better candidates for a swap. Especially the 280z. It's heavier and better braced and is already fuel injected.

I agree, swap with car! I think a better idea, is to source an L28ET motor complete with harness and go from there. That way most everything is reversible in the future when the cars are worth even more. Also the S30 chassis is not properly designed for the levels of torque that the LS series motors can produce.

Fuel pump issues!
Those sound like starter noises to me. Could be loose, bad teeth. Hard to tell by the video how many times the key is being turned. You could get a manual starter switch, that you connect to the starter. Then you can spin the engine while standing beside the car to narrow down the source of the noise.

Fuel pump issues!
Speaker wire varies a lot. If you mean what comes with most stereos, like 24ga or something, that's a little small. If you mean 12 ga like I normally use, that should be more than adequate

Hello from across the pond! Searching for a 240z
Thanks for that. I added his listed item in my watch list I'm not ready yet, but I like to bookmark things for when I am. Otherwise I can't find them later or remember which thread it was in

Fuel pump issues!
If its too low the pump might not run. Try running good battery power straight to the pump to eliminate a bad pump

Sender Yellow WIre Missing
I believe it comes down and through the frame rail below the filler neck and out onto top of the tank. Not positive though...

steering rack accordian boots
I think that is the part number I used. I found they were a little too large but worked ok. Most people won't know unless I run over them.

Can I weld a hinge pin back together?
Mmmmmm, BarBQue!

Can I weld a hinge pin back together?
One option would be to source a hinge and paint it or steal the pin out of the new donor hinge. I know I couldn't weld that and make it hold. I might could if out TIG rig was working but I d on't think my MIG rig would make a clean enough weld
