  1. You're killing me. Tons of progress
  2. Off of memory, you disconnect the rag joint. Take the bolt out at the lower end and pull it off the rack. That last part is usually harder than it sounds.
  3. This one runs tomorrow https://www.copart.com/lot/38427609 I saw it when it was in Mass, which is where the title is from. Look at the big holes int he doors and rockers. You know there is more of that! $4,600 already!
  4. Early gas cap too. Those are pretty rare also...
  5. I thought I would tag on here instead of creating a new thread. I watched a 71 240z roll through Copart today. It had a Florida title and was probably really rusty. It went through for $4,550! plus fees (maybe another 20%). It sold to Poland. So it has to be shipped to Europe on top of that!! Amazing...
  6. So it has some damage history. That makes the numbers even more interesting
  7. I agree the voltage numbers look pretty good. Someone else could probably chime in but the voltage going down, might just be the charge leveling out in the battery. Not my specialty. Since the voltages are good and it doesn't appear the alternator is being worked overly hard, then I would suspect the noise is from the alternator, but it does appear to be working properly.
  8. You're through paint, which is the hard part. Maybe it will get easier from here. Did you find new crenelated mustache bar washers somewhere?
  9. Hadn't heard that. Too bad...
  10. The plates in the door jamb are riveted. The one on the shock tower uses small screws. I think its best if they go back this way. PM an address and I will drop you some
  11. @Mike I have a box of pop rivets that should be correct for the door plate. If you would like some...
  12. Horsepower Heads appears to do some really cool stuff!
  13. That's some cool head work! Hard to find people who can handle that kind of work.
  14. I would say two owner cars are getting very rare. I would start with a whole different engine and set the numbers matching engine to the side. Get an L28 motor and tweak it a little bit.
  15. Did you do the mods on the OBX?
  16. Welcome, it's a nice looking car!
  17. If the belt has any real wear, replace it. That's cheap. Then check the battery voltage with the car running and report back Check the battery voltage before starting the car and then after.
  18. Guy, your original halfshafts appear to be in really good condition. Were they exhibiting any symptoms?
  19. If I had to guess $600-1000 depending on condition. Most of the hoods I see for sale are about $300. So I doubled that and went from there. I don't know that I've ever seen an early hood
  20. Thanks. It's about time to post an update as it is slowly moving again.
  21. Still beautiful though!!!!
  22. When one of the brake circuits (front or back) fails, there is a piston in there that slides and illuminates the brake light in the speedometer
  23. That's a shame. The last clear glass I saw discussed was in the $2k range. So the glass alone makes the car appealing to someone who has the right car needing parts. @hiyabrad It's a long way from you but it may have something you want
  24. In here somewhere. Probably the last few pages
