  1. That was a pretty rotten car
  2. Video shows no play back in that format
  3. That means the door hinge area probably moved a little. Like 1/8 or less. Just from the pictures, I would say it's fixable all day long. I really think the front structure can be pulled and straightened. Would probably want a new radiator support though. Like I said, let me know if you need any parts C
  4. Sean's websight is down. Is this recommended for the street? Any issues with it? Adaptability to the remainder of his system? What is Sean's retail for this header? any issues with shipping to the Cont. US?
  5. At this point I view sub 500s as $100k cars. So 22k for a not disaster project seems pretty reasonable. You do bring up a good point about some of the missing pieces that could be hard to replace. I always wanted a low number car but I have pretty much gotten over that because I want driver cars. The sub 500 cars are quickly becoming too rare to be practical to put miles on.
  6. That's awful!!! I bought a new to me Tacoma a few weeks ago. The kids have wrecked it twice in a couple of weeks. I'm gonna lose my mind! Good that everybody is ok. I suspect the other vehicle didn't stop... I can't open the pictures. Don't know what software to use.
  7. I couldn't read any of the dyno read outs
  8. That was a long day at the shop! Good you got it sorted. That is one of the disadvantages of buying a project in a box. Always helpful to have someone who knows how all the details should be Cheers, enjoy!
  9. Depends what you mean by all original. Do you mean you have a an original "survivor"? A car that shows wear but is unrestored and doesn't necessarily need restoration? True survivors can be worth a lot of money if well documented. Otherwise a well executed restoration or refreshation helps the value as well.
  10. I remember some discussion a couple of years back about mounts not lining up
  11. Thanks for that Cliff. I was on my phone and can barely navigate the site from there. Much less do the required searching and posting...
  12. The bracing flanges on that case look amazing!
  13. The 76 tank is pretty rare but if it were me I would modify the tank or source a second one and modify it. You could build trap doors like racing oil pans have to prevent fuel from sloshing away from the pick up or make a lower sump area. I know there is another way to accomplish this too. I think you pump into an intermediate container then pump from that to the engine but I don't know exactly how that's plumbed.
  14. Wow, those have gotten pricey!
  15. Many people do powder coat the wheels. The hub caps look surprisingly good. I think there is a hub cap restoration thread here somewhere
  16. Wheel pictures?
  17. Targa would have been fun!
  18. The car needs a lot of work for $8700! The "buy it now's" are usually pretty optimistic. If you are the high bidder, they will usually try to haggle to get the reserve met. I rarely budge much on price
  19. There is no recourse if you use a gift card versus some other form of payment
  20. I agree, lot's of alarm bells there
