  1. Blue lock tite only!
  2. It would be really interesting if there was a vendor like MSA @Joseph@TheZStore who would be interested in reproducing the wavy washers. Yours would make excellent models for a mold.
  3. Would love to see pics! We like pics
  4. How do you know you need one? I don't know what interchanges.
  5. It may not have caught up but then again it may have. If he ends up looking for a fairly rare head, you can do a lot of welding for that. I have started seeing heads in the $600 range. I can get a lot of holes repaired for that kind of money. If it is just some erosion at the head surfaces that may be doable. If it's significant erosion inside the head, that is totally different.
  6. I wonder if the low torque helps prevent warpage so the clutch engages smoothly
  7. What do they mean by rotted out? Some of these heads can be salvaged but many people just don't want to try

The only one I saw on Car-part was $200, which I thought was a deal. If you can get a clean one for $400, I would think you are doing really well.
  9. You will need a spindle pin puller!! When you do the rear wheel bearings it makes removing the lower control arms possible.

Contact Some of the vendors zcardepot or others. Google used 280z quarters for sale and contact some of the businesses listed

Nope, I don't think so. You would have to find a good donor. One of the vendors might have one
  12. But it's fully painted, correct?

I suspected as much. The license plate panel actually goes all the way to the bottom. It's one piece. There are about 50 spot welds but you have already done about half of them. It is a much more invisible repair if you just do the whole panel and get a donor from a wrecking yard

It makes a better repair to just drill out the spot welds and get the whole panel, my 2 cents

    PM sent
  16. My guess, grey primer on everything. Black on the face that shows

According to car part manual all the lower hinges are the same 2 door, 4 door front and back and wagon

I would expect they are the same. I will have to check part numbers. Pictures would be great!
  19. Possible limited slip in Colorado https://www.copart.com/lot/26260669
  20. Did you do anything special to create the bend?
  21. https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2380057.m570.l1313.TR6.TRC1.A0.H0.Xmo+clamp.TRS0&_nkw=mo+clamp&_sacat=0 Lots of styles and types. Some have dual points so you can load it in two directions at once. If your jig was fastened to the floor you could add pull points in the floor and some cribbing and basically have a 240z frame rack
  22. I buy them off Ebay or Amazon. More challenging for those of you North of the border. I try to get one like this, then I have one that has more room behind the jaws to get around flanges and such and I have one that will join up 10 or so weld on studs to pull. I also have a wide one that has double jaws
  23. Yeah, that's a good way to get hurt. I don't bounce the way I use to and that concrete gets harder every year!
  24. I have a selection of Mo-clamps like this. They are not very expensive but they grip tighter the harder you pull
