  1. You already linked to the Innovate, which is what you need. I already told you that will work. That is all I'm gonna do for you. Take it or leave it. The advise is free...not gonna keep rehashing the same stuff. What you need to know you can't learn from a balancing tool and a colortune...
  2. I suspect we don't really know any of these politicians on either side of the aisle. We get 15 second sound bites that are selected to shape a certain point of view. That is not representative of who these people are... I would think most of us could be made to appear as something we are not if some one came along and picked a few short statements from us and ignored the rest of our life and said that represented who we are. We could be made out to be a monster, a drunk, a flake or a saint. For that matter I am no where near the same man I was in college or even when I was a young adult. I trust people I know! I don't trust politicians! None of them...I know a few politicians personally and I wouldn't trust them either...
  3. Cool. I guess the real problem with selecting needles is knowing what needle station is producing what AFR reading. I don't know how you know at what height the piston is in the dome at any given RPM?

    They sound good
  5. Have you seen this? http://www.sumidel.com/shop/category/su-needles Look through some of the links at how many needles are available.. I thought about getting a needle profile chart They list an SM needle under 0.100 fixed. No station sizes shown though
  6. I have a lot of friends on this board and they come from all over the country. I would dare say we don't all agree on politics. It would probably be best if this doesn't get introduced on the forum. It won't benefit anyone. It will only create division...
  7. I am 99.99% no factory sunroof. Someone must have done a nice professional addition to the car...
  8. Thanks, I agree the process doesn't tolerate contaminants. I have looked for MossBoss, it doesn't look like it will be a problem to source on this side of the border. How thick is Moss Boss?
  9. Yes, hopefully!!!
  10. @Namerow I believe you used "Moss Boss" as your anode. Did you get satisfactory results using this zinc? Did you have any issues with impurities? I have spent some time looking for zinc sheets and have no luck finding a good pure zinc sheet. I did some more plating today and got some mixed results. Late in the session I found if I lifted the parts up near the surface I got good results. I think my anodes are too small. They are starting to get thin any way. I have looked at Caswell but to get any decent sized plates gets expensive quick. If the Moss Boss works I will get some and try it out
  11. I am glad some others chimed in, so you have more than just my opinion. I agree with Mark. I don't like the overlap seams. They can rust out quicker but my main objection is they require more filler. I would grind down the rear quarter seam then cut through it to make a butt weld seam. You have to weld short little sections to prevent warpage. These cars were never that perfect and some filler is ok. Even multi million dollar restorations have filler on them. The nice thing is with rising car values you can afford to spend the money to fix the car and not be upside down. Findng a nice shell can be hard to do. Even if you find a nice shell if it doesn't have a clear title you get into another can of worms that we flogged to death in another thread recently...
  12. @240260280Here is a question for ya. Does that tool fit a Datsun head?
  13. Well that was obvious...
  14. Hope not! The quarter metal may be workable. It just may need some better detailing. The inner wheel well metal is available from Tabco. There are some other patch panels available from them too. Disepyon on the site makes inner rockers and reinforements. Charles Osborne makes good floor panels, rcokers (maybe) and frame rails I think...
  15. Sorry, I didn't make myself clear. I was wondering if the rubber was large for me to drill it out to 3/8" (sounds like what you did) and it still be isolated? I don't have a good flaring tool yet. I am planning on getting the Eastwood with 45d dies. I like to buy my own Christmas presents. Bad but true...
  16. I am confidant they replaced the outer skin. The question is how did they do it? The full quarter or just scab in a patch? You might be able to tell by looking from the inside after removing the interior panels. I would try to get rid of the brazing as much as possible. It can cause problems when you paint over it. Also the wheel well seems like it could fit better, but that may be because they couldn't get the inner fender to flatten enough to line up with the quarter panel wheel arch... Do you have a good welder?
  17. Almost all of those failures are in heavy duty truck tires. I worked as a diesel mechanic one summer and dealt with split rims a lot. They can be exceedingly dangerous!!! That ring will take your head clean off if it's not seated properly. They also run really high air pressures. Most over 100-120 #'s. That makes for a dangerous combination. That's why they have those cages to air them up in. To prevent these types of accidents. I wonder if the normal tires that blew up were filled with propane or were severely over inflated? On a different note, it is amazing how much abuse the human body can take...
  18. I think it would be hard to fabricate the holes for the vents in the hatch. They have a lip to help with oil canning. They would also have to be located accurately. I don't know what they would look like without the lips. The hatch ducts and grills can be pretty expensive too. I have seen some early hatches for sale recently and some of the asking prices were out of sight!
  19. Are the stock isolators large enough to accept a 3/8" line?
  20. Nope! Not normal. From the looks of it, some one caved the quarter panel in and they replaced it or a section of it and beat the wheel well out the best they could and undercoated it. The repair looks crudely done What are your plans for the car? How far down the rabbit hole do you want to go? What kind of DIY skills do you have?
  21. Thanks, Chris. I have about half a roll here so I should be good with 25'. Any idea how many ends you used? @wheee! Is this the same as the factory EFI sized fuel lines? I was thinking I would go ahead and install an up sized line for any possible future EFI options. Did you do both the supply and return the same size?
  22. Wanted to tag onto this instead of starting a new thread. I am looking at doing the same thing. It's time for me to get the hard lines back on the car. I have the original lines and could probably reuse them but I would want to get them plated and that sounds like a pain. I was thinking of going with the Fedhill line too for the brake and fuel lines. I have some from an earlier project and I would shine it up like you have. Does anyone have any thoughts on protecting the lines after shining them? Eastwood diamond clear? Sharkhide? Also @grannyknot how many feet did it take for the brake lines and the fuel lines? The brake lines are 3/16", correct? What about the two fuel lines?
  23. Now that's a rotisserie!!!
