  1. I would think a job from scratch would cost more than either kit. Your best bet is to buy a good kit and get it professionally installed. They can massage it to make it fit good with heat and experience...
  2. I have seen a lot of burned out cars and that aluminum melts pretty quick. It took me a minute to get oriented. I saw the gas tank and was like the rear end is upside down. I thought maybe it was two pieces, but the flat blob made it make sense...a shame really...
  3. The whole car is upside down. That big white flat blob is what's left of the head after they scraped it off the concrete!!!
  4. Thanks for the response. That is a good idea...

That sounds like quite the memory!!!
  6. Wide Open Throttle
  7. You shouldn't be such a good customer...
  8. The heat lamp aught to help keep the shop warm.
  9. You already linked to the Innovate, which is what you need. I already told you that will work. That is all I'm gonna do for you. Take it or leave it. The advise is free...not gonna keep rehashing the same stuff. What you need to know you can't learn from a balancing tool and a colortune...
  10. I suspect we don't really know any of these politicians on either side of the aisle. We get 15 second sound bites that are selected to shape a certain point of view. That is not representative of who these people are... I would think most of us could be made to appear as something we are not if some one came along and picked a few short statements from us and ignored the rest of our life and said that represented who we are. We could be made out to be a monster, a drunk, a flake or a saint. For that matter I am no where near the same man I was in college or even when I was a young adult. I trust people I know! I don't trust politicians! None of them...I know a few politicians personally and I wouldn't trust them either...
  11. Cool. I guess the real problem with selecting needles is knowing what needle station is producing what AFR reading. I don't know how you know at what height the piston is in the dome at any given RPM?

    They sound good
  13. Have you seen this? http://www.sumidel.com/shop/category/su-needles Look through some of the links at how many needles are available.. I thought about getting a needle profile chart They list an SM needle under 0.100 fixed. No station sizes shown though
  14. I have a lot of friends on this board and they come from all over the country. I would dare say we don't all agree on politics. It would probably be best if this doesn't get introduced on the forum. It won't benefit anyone. It will only create division...
  15. I am 99.99% no factory sunroof. Someone must have done a nice professional addition to the car...
  16. Thanks, I agree the process doesn't tolerate contaminants. I have looked for MossBoss, it doesn't look like it will be a problem to source on this side of the border. How thick is Moss Boss?
  17. Yes, hopefully!!!
  18. @Namerow I believe you used "Moss Boss" as your anode. Did you get satisfactory results using this zinc? Did you have any issues with impurities? I have spent some time looking for zinc sheets and have no luck finding a good pure zinc sheet. I did some more plating today and got some mixed results. Late in the session I found if I lifted the parts up near the surface I got good results. I think my anodes are too small. They are starting to get thin any way. I have looked at Caswell but to get any decent sized plates gets expensive quick. If the Moss Boss works I will get some and try it out
  19. I am glad some others chimed in, so you have more than just my opinion. I agree with Mark. I don't like the overlap seams. They can rust out quicker but my main objection is they require more filler. I would grind down the rear quarter seam then cut through it to make a butt weld seam. You have to weld short little sections to prevent warpage. These cars were never that perfect and some filler is ok. Even multi million dollar restorations have filler on them. The nice thing is with rising car values you can afford to spend the money to fix the car and not be upside down. Findng a nice shell can be hard to do. Even if you find a nice shell if it doesn't have a clear title you get into another can of worms that we flogged to death in another thread recently...
  20. @240260280Here is a question for ya. Does that tool fit a Datsun head?
  21. Well that was obvious...
  22. Hope not! The quarter metal may be workable. It just may need some better detailing. The inner wheel well metal is available from Tabco. There are some other patch panels available from them too. Disepyon on the site makes inner rockers and reinforements. Charles Osborne makes good floor panels, rcokers (maybe) and frame rails I think...
