The word is official. Nissan will be the featured marque at the 2018 Grassroots Motorsports Mitty.

So make plans to come to Atlanta twice in 2018: late April for the Mitty and October for ZCON.

Randy Jaffe also gave us an update at the GZC meeting on Thursday. The Amelia Island winning GTP car will be at the Mitty along with some other Heritage Collection cars. There will be a Nissan/Datsun touring lap session among other things.

We are going to have a special weekend.

Guy, are you planning on being there all three days or just one in particular?

Just Saturday. I’ll get there at 10am and leave at 7:30pm. I’m gonna be at my friend Woody Staub’s paddock till he races at 1:40. He’ll be near Greg Ira’s tent.....he races the number 22 car plus a new A Production 280Z powered car. After Woody races, I’m heading up to the Datsun tent in the infield. How about you? What’s your schedule?

I am planning on getting tickets that Monday if the forecast looks good. We probably won't come down if the weather looks bad. The plan right now is to come down early Saturday and stay as long as I can. I heard something about free beer...B)

I think Cody and I will be coming.

Free is a good deal at twice the price!   Hope to see you there.

It looks like I'll be parking my car at the BF Goodrich tent in Vendor Village. :)

I forgot to mention that it will be sporting some new tires, too. :D

If you're curious about the Mitty schedule and entry list, they are online.

Go to http://hsrrace.com/classic-motorsports-mitty/ and look for them.

There are about 45 Nissans and Datsuns entered, including a D21 Hardbody and a C110 Skyline. Most of the Nissans and Datsuns are in group 3A.

Oh, you could do two, they're six months apart! Just end your year in June and pretend they're in different years!

Well, we are going to have a pretty good special guest list for ZCON, too. Just less racing.
