Too early. Hell's freezing over.
They sort of blew the forecast. The other day they really were expecting most of it to be in the mountains. Not supposed to accumulate here. One of the few jobs where you can be wrong 30% of the time and still be good at your job

LA wild fires
That doesn't sound like any fun at all! Reminds me of my buddy who use to live in LA. During the Rodney King riots he sat in the backyard with his 9mm listening to the rioting and gun fire... Be safe. Remember it's all just stuff...

This is where we're at after 2 hours. The salt trucks are evidently currently stuck on the interstate. Started sleeting hard a little while ago. More moisture on the way...

I hope any of our forum members in the area stay safe. Hopefully you and yours stay out of harms way. It's a hard time of year to get burnt out... @motorman7 Rich, are you out of the way?

Too early. Hell's freezing over.
It is very pretty and the beauty of a southern snow is it's gone in a few days or less. Makes for a great mini staycation...

L28 Stroker Build - I need your advice :-)
I would think you would gap per the ring manufacturer specs like the ones you listed based on the piston they're on. I would think ring position relative to combustion and the size of the groove in the piston is the overriding factor not the block they are mounted in. I would think a flame front is a flame front. I suspect compression has more effect on the rings than what the engine is...

Hasn't started here yet but should be soon. When it snows I just stay home. Can't afford to have my truck torn up by someone with too high an estimate of their driving skills!

Cream8
I had seen that car at the salvage auctions. I am not sure how it got caved in. Maybe the heat did it or maybe it was in a garage that burned and something fell on it. Once they are burnt like that, they rust almost overnight. I have wondered about buying a burn car that is not so severely burnt. I wonder though how bad they're oil canned from the heat and the damage to the metal from being heated to that degree...

71 240z strange overheating/cooling system problem.
Maybe you need to flush the block. Was it stored with antifreeze in it or water? Maybe the jackets are all scaled up...

Emission parts from from air galley
That innovate will be fine. You will need to get an exhaust bung welded into your exhaust system. If you have a 6-2-1 system, you may want two bungs one welded into each of the the two pipes. That will allow you to check the front carb and the back carb separately. I believe the innovates come with at least one exhaust bung...

Rear disk brake conversion
Drums are surely sufficient for braking in the original form in all but extreme or track conditions, but disc are much simpler in many ways and don't need any adjustment. They are also much easier to visually inspect. They also have a nice visual aesthetic to them...
