Right side up is when the arm raises up. When it's all the way down you're on empty. If you still have the old one lay them side by side. You may need to bend the new one to match. I didn't and now a quarter tank on the gauge is empty inside the tank.

Bleeder valves work good for me also. Definitely worth the money.

Here's a shot of my E88 with the early spray bar attached and the newer design laying beside it. The newer one came off an N42 head that was changed to a newer oiler cam. This was a common upgrade from all I've read. Those spray bars a problematic and should be checked often, like every oil change for my 240. 240 spray bars... 280 with a oiler cam...

I bought all my 240's brake stuff off amazon.com. Rotors and pads, new reservoirs and master cylinder, booster to. Best prices I found. The rears are different though. You can put new cylinders on for $50 or $200 for the OE style. I went the $50 route. On your thermostat I would say get a Nissan, they're bigger and more robust than the chain stores. I think mine's a 160 degree and my car idles in my garage at 176 degrees with zero wind flow. I'm sure it drops when I'm driving. zcardepot.com has everything you need in one place or you can search for nissan p/ns and get your local dealership to order stuff for you.

I remember your car. If it runs good put up some pictures and you'll get so many opinions you could figure out a happy medium. Seems like it was a respray red with automatic transmission?

Squeeze the fuel lines in the engine bay to see if they're hard. With a good fuel pressure regulator and fuel pump they should be pretty hard to pinch or squeeze while running. There's been many gremlins fixed by wrapping the ECU a few times, not too hard though.

I only have one supplier local to me with anything, Tractor Supply. I've tried the black stuff, too rough. Glass beads work the best in my opinion just ease into the surface getting closer as you need to. I have a moisture separator out of the compressor and a smaller one before the tool. My 60 gallon runs constantly while "sand blasting". Lots of moisture created all along. Good luck.
