  1. I guess the fuel rail depends on how strict the visual inspection is? In some parts of the country they compare the engine to sample pictures to determine if components have been removed or tampered with. If a visual inspection isn't a big deal, Then the fuel rail can probably remain for now

    Much better!
  3. I would say its motorless the way it sits

Adjust the latch. The trick is to get it to sit flat with out too much tension. Lubricating the latch will help too. I make these adjustments with out the latch installed

You can use some blocks of wood between the center sections of the hood and the body and re-arch the hood. Remove the cowl first so you can push against the stronger inner structure. Massage it some then reinstall the cowl. The hoods are fairly workable. Be careful and make lots of tries. Don't crimp it!!! You could even use a 12"-16" block of 2x4 to push the corners of the hood down so you can apply even distributed pressure
  6. Estimated at 180,000 pounds
  7. What is the appropriate Bosch number?
  8. Thats where I would start. Google might find one. Price the repairs and see if that makes sense over trying to source a replacement of unknown quality
  9. Sounds like zspert might have some
  10. Can they not be straightened? We have a company in our area that straightens wheels. I just had one done that had a 2" bulge in the rim. Can't find it now...
  11. Brake systems don't like to sit. If it were mine I would start on one end and replace all the seals on the way to the other. Booster is a definite possibility

it's actually a spring. Like CG said it fits into a groove in the horn pad to keep it on the wheel.
  13. I always fill the supply line from the fuel pump rearward to make it easier to prime
  14. I saw that today. Seems like a waste
  15. I believe CSV is Cold Start Valve
  16. @DC_Mike I am so sorry for you!!! It is a little surprising that the rust is that extensive. I have done the same thing with a Copart car out of Miami. You could try to run the car back through Copart and recover some of the money. That is what I did. If you keep it, be sure and salvage all those vent parts in the hatch even if you don't use a vented hatch. They are getting rare and bring good money.
  17. I saw the shifter and suspected the same thing. That makes it even less valuable in my mind. I didn't even notice the roll bar. That is an endorsement for having one, if you going to turn your car upside down
  18. 72 at Copart Is this really worth $350?? At $250 plus fees that's about where it's at right now. Have no idea on what's under the hood. https://www.copart.com/lot/26551558
  19. NLA = No Longer Available
  20. I don't know any more. A few years ago, I would have agreed whole heartedly. Any more, I just don't know. I have a difficult time even guessing anymore
  21. So with the BaT car at$66k, the blue car could be cleaned up and easily be worth a good bit more than it sold for. It might have lower actual miles and I think it was a 50% lower vin... I am not surprised it went that high. I would have guesses 50k if no major flaws. I didn't look at it that close but it seemed "presentable"
  22. I once had a suburban I was datalogging. The fuel pressure gauge was wrapped around the drivers mirror on about 4' of hose. Very convenient ?
  23. How does this car compare to the care Captain Obvious posted about the other day?
  24. Great looking truck!
