Lets start with causes of high pressure Problem with the oil relief Bearing clearances Excessive pump output What is the engine history? Have you ever run any oil flush through it? If you haven't, don't! My first concern would be junk building up in the bearings driving up oil pressure. Oil relief could also be a problem
  2. A wire brush on a drill can help clean up those threads too
  3. I would want the O2 even if it was to just feed a gauge. Makes diagnosis much easier
  4. Keep an eye out for 300zx turbos after mid 87' I believe. They could have the nice differential in them. Remember to get the half shafts if you get the differential. Especially if it's a "Shiro"!!!
  5. @Usain_Boat Would you do me a favor and note quote in reverse background if possible. It's really hard for me to read it. You might be able to get a pencil torch if you can't get enough heat too it. When you hold an iron to it, hold it underneath. Remember heat rises and the wires will heat better on top of the iron
  6. Thanks for the offer but I am trying to declutter. I hope you are well!
  7. I an E28 project waiting on some attention
  8. I will defer to Stevej on a recommendation
  9. So basically they pick and choose what they list. They get to cherry pick; it's not really an open market. Too bad..
  10. If they're tight and look ok with good boots, I might run them for a while. They will get replaced eventually if you put enough miles on it
  11. I guess the biggest thing is figuring exactly where to tap the carbs
  12. That's a good question! I don't know. Part of the problem is using something that prevents further rust with out locking up the pivot points. Maybe treat the area with a conversion product and then keep it lubricated to prevent corrosion...
  13. How close were they to what it's really worth?
  14. Lye will evidently clean the burrs of aluminum and beeswax is said to prevent build up but not contaiminate
  15. I have some for aluminum and they have a different tooth pattern. I have seen a tip on how to prevent this but can't remember what it was.
  16. I have a selection of carbide bits like that, but those little metal splinters go everywhere!!!
  17. BTW, count your blessings. My daughter wrecked one of my vehicles again this week and flattened it on the back of a 2015 Lincoln. It could be worse!
  18. Zcardepot is $122 Zeddsaver is $120-160 with the rings there are some decent prices ones on Ebay search for "240z gas cap"
  19. I use a die grinder with a 3" cut off wheel to dress welds down most of the way. Then I use die grinders with 2" & 1" rolocs on them 36 grit. Sometimes I finish up with a 4" flap disc, but the flap disc can remove a lot of metal really fast and there is not a lot of metal thickness to start with.
  20. It took a lot of work and is pretty creative, but that doesn't necessarily translate into value!
