SGS Posted January 21, 2020 Share #1 Posted January 21, 2020 Our late father's 1972 240Z is for sale in Texas. He was the original owner. Please note the mileage listed is wrong, as the gentleman handling the sale for our mother was not initially aware that the odometer had rolled over. I would be happy to try to answer any questions you may have. I stumbled upon this site by accident, so hope it isn't inappropriate to post this. Listing is here: https://sanantonio.craigslist.org/cto/d/marion-1972-datsun-240z/7056714243.html
Zed Head Posted January 21, 2020 Share #2 Posted January 21, 2020 You should get some pictures from underneath. The rust spots. Looks like a nice car.
SGS Posted January 21, 2020 Author Share #3 Posted January 21, 2020 That's a very helpful suggestion, thank you. I will try to get that done. I'm not local, so it is a little complicated. ?
siteunseen Posted January 21, 2020 Share #4 Posted January 21, 2020 That's a nice car and should go quick. Very original it looks to me. Our's are similar. Mine had those bumpers too, they hang from the rafters now though.

This one unfortunately is automatic. We also have a 1965 Fairlady, which is the stick I learned to drive on. ?
grannyknot Posted January 22, 2020 Share #8 Posted January 22, 2020 It's in lovely condition, I would think seriously about bumping the price up, it's only us old farts that know how to drive stick anymore, automatics are going to rise.
Zed Head Posted January 22, 2020 Share #9 Posted January 22, 2020 (edited) I thought the same thing when I read that. Sometimes it's nice to let the car do the work. Too bad the autos don't have a bench seat. No offense. A bench seat has its advantages... Edited January 22, 2020 by Zed Head

That's funny, I have always thought of all 240z stock seat as one person benches, I can't handle them for more than an hour.
SGS Posted February 3, 2020 Author Share #11 Posted February 3, 2020 The car did sell. Thanks for the input and comments. Now we get to work on selling the 1965 Fairlady. ?
