I've been looking for a project
My car had the dealer-installed A/C when I bought it new, the original 2-row was in place. It did not hold up well and after several repairs I had it re-cored with a three row, still in the car today.

Looking For Plating Shop Recommendations
CO - the most recent batch was about 25 lbs., both clear and yellow. Three of us went in together, the total cost was $200, no breakout on the color. The largest pieces were a fuel rail and a heat shield. For individuals like me, it is a cash-only (check) transaction - no credit cards. I'm sure they have billing for the commercial accounts. As to whether they would ship, that would be a question to raise in a contact with them. The company is Texas Precision Plating, http://www.texasprecision.net/ Speaking of ashtrays, this one just completed (soon to be listed for sale ):

Looking For Plating Shop Recommendations
They don't separate the parts, all of the batch goes thru the bake cycle so everything is consistent in color whether its clear or yellow. Per the comments by @zspert above, this shop has tanks large enough to handle the long fuel/hydraulic lines. A buddy has his done and they came out awesome.

Looking For Plating Shop Recommendations
I get all my plating done locally - lucky to not have to deal with shipping. My philosophy is that the results will be no better than the prep so everything is thoroughly stripped of paint, rust, scale, grease, ...etc. prior to delivery. Get rid of scratches and rough edges. Yes... small bits can and will get lost so I secure those pieces per the pics below - problem solved! Anything with a spring, including spring steel, will need a bake cycle to drive out nitrogen (?) molecules. if not done, the piece will break.

What Rubber Supplier
I had heard a story a few years back that Vintage was including PRP items in their Z kits due to ongoing mfg. issues with main seals such as doors, windshield, ...etc. Don't know if that was just a rumor but it seems it would be worth raising the question with them prior to placing an order. Don't overlook the Kia Sportage options if spot-on accuracy is not an issue.

Door Window removal
The very talented engineers at Nissan and those trained in S30 maintenance knew how to skillfully (and quickly) extract a window. I have never been able to master the trick and always ended up removing the window frame to safely get a window out.

KONI Sports for Classic Z's
I know that @Carl Beck is quite competent to defend his posts but nothing in his last statement suggests equating the compression force on a Tokico to spring rate. Simply put - where the OE hydraulic shocks were passive in the suspension setup, the Tokico shocks are an active suspension ingredient by creating downforce with 80 pounds of pressure. With the springs as a constant, ride height is affected. I have these shocks with Eibach Progressive springs and can attest to a degraded ride quality. His statement to Lee says nothing more than a hope that the pressurization does not approach the Tokico level of 5+ bars and a request that the pressurization be a disclosed specification. My unsolicited $0.05 worth!

S30 Hatch Fittings Set
Charles, I remove the springs, leave the nylon wedges in place. Plating leaves a residue on the nylon which I scrape off. Springs go on a wire to not lose in the process, insert after the nylon wedge is clean, add the New bumper from 240zrubberparts and done. Jim

70 240z parked 15 years, brakes stuck
Congratulations. Regarding reinstalling the old shoes: the lining will have significantly hardened/glazed over the years and won't provide a lot of stopping power. New shoes are pretty cheap and a good investment for your safety (and that of others). Been there, done that!

Here's our chance to make a stand..........
Lets hope the bill gets some traction - but then its CA and mindless choices run rampant. In Texas we at least have some enlightened regs: A vehicle over 25 years old requires only a safety inspection for regular registration. The vehicle can be used as a daily driver. A vehicle over 25 years old is eligible for Antique Auto registration, requiring no inspection, the registration fee is $10/year. The vehicle cannot be used as a DD, "should" only be used for parades, club events, exhibitions, ...etc.
