Flogged with spam calls, HELP!
Can't rule out what you watch on YouTube. Watch a video on how to change the wiper blades on your Subaru and you'll start getting ads for Subaru products. Fun Fact for Wednesday: Google owns YouTube and it's based in the huge hanger where Howard Hughes stored the Spruce Goose for decades.

Flogged with spam calls, HELP!
Everyone who posts pieces of their life on Linked-In, Facebook, this site, and anywhere else on the internet leaves a trail of breadcrumbs to their home address, phone number, family members, shopping preferences, and more. It's not too difficult to find information on just about anyone. There aren't too many places to hide any more.

Flogged with spam calls, HELP!
Google stock just jumped $245 a share in after hours trading. Great Q4 based on ad revenue.

Flogged with spam calls, HELP!
Like it, or not, it's the world we live in. There's a lot to be said for having only a land line phone and staying home. 😎

Flogged with spam calls, HELP!
My son is a computer engineer employed by Google. Fun company when you get a glimpse behind the curtain.

Flogged with spam calls, HELP!
I use a Google brand Android phone on T-Mobile's system. T-Mobile has a built in spam blocker so all I see is a screen that says "Scam Likely". I've never had a SPAM call get through on my cell phone but get plenty on my land line.

1975 280Z catalytic converter heat shield ?
Very nice looking Z. If it was always in Michigan, it must have spent winters off the road and in a garage.

Part Prices Discussion
Less ethical would be my guess. As sellers, they must have had some success catching a buyer who doesn't do due diligence when searching for parts and price comparing. Either that or they don't really want to part with the parts. Experience tells me they just want to catch the random uninformed buyer and don't care about establishing an ongoing vendor/customer relationship.

Is a L28 Internal or External balanced? new flywheel?
They mentioned that some male reproductive organs don't show externally and they want to avoid any future misunderstanding. Personally, I think a Milk Bone Biscuit tattoo would be more appropriate than the straight line.

how to protect fenders when working in the engine compartment
I use a Studebaker mechanic's fender protector that I've had for decades. You can get a Summit Racing one here: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/sum-3619?seid=srese1&gclid=CjwKCAiA0KmPBhBqEiwAJqKK4_3wvyOTSMops8wieCQvdKZVA8EBRKX_WeZ4JRrt1wVBMQJZr_rWBBoCu-8QAvD_BwE

Just be sure to wear your tin foil hat when you Google the terms and you'll be fine. 😎

A little rust
Baking soda and water will neutralize the acid. Sand and repaint the rusted area and you're good for another 52 years.

Look what I found
If you look, again, at Charles' post you'll see that he didn't ask how much the Z cost, only a "Ballpark" number which could be something nonspecific like more than $20K and less than $50K without giving away too much detail. I also understand folks being touchy about what they pay for things. Play nice, move on.

Other than last week when it seemed to be off line for a day or so, it's no slower than usual. Maybe I just have low expectations.

Removing MSA airdam, spoiler, and side skirts
Is the body kit bolted on, bonded on to stock metal panels, are stock panels cut? Lots of possibilities.

What is that and What is the purpose?
Keep on top of it and get rest. Speedy recovery.

Dumb dumb dummy!
My TRS-80 had no way to access the internet. But, that was OK because in 1983 I didn't know what internet or email accounts were. I could save programs on floppy disks that were floppy or on a cassette tape recorder. It was a simpler time. No cable TV, cell phone, satellite radio, or internet monthly bills.

Dumb dumb dummy!
Certainly not a Millennial, but I recognize it as the five piece version of my first computer which was a trusty TRS-80 dual drive like the one below. Bonus points to the Millennial who knows what "TRS" meant without Googling it.

With age, properly functioning emission controls and vapor recovery become more important. 😎

Maybe do something about the sagging rear end and stinky exhaust, too. 😎
