Chat GPT - AI Bot
Should be interesting when the first AI Bot registers on this forum and starts doling out tech advice. Hopefully, Google's AI, Bard, will be better when it's released.....or escapes. I've used it and it has a way to go just like Microsoft's AI.

Restoration of BringaTrailer 240z - HLS30-35883
I'm recovering my seats now and found that having the points slightly "up" makes it easier to stretch and slip the upholstery over them before tapping them down over the wire that's threaded through the base of the seat cushion upholstery.

Antennae
If you have the original antenna switch from the original Z AM radio, it should work just fine. The switch doesn't care what radio you have.

Life lessons from CZC.com
Part of the reason that people had kids in the 1950s and '60s was so that there was someone to get up off the couch, walk across the room to the TV set, and change the channel, adjust the sound level, or stop the horizontal roll. The world has changed. 😎

Updated My Website
Nice work on your site. The visuals are great. Enjoyed the tech upgrade tips. Just one nit to pick. The '70 Z weighed about 50 pounds more than the '70 911, not less.

Still struggling with car at idle after 8 years
Clearly, it was not or you wouldn't have been struggling with this issue for the eight years you've owned the car. It's a hard pill to swallow, but having the engine and carbs rebuilt or selling the Z and starting over with another one may be the best solution. You've fought a long hard battle with your current Z.

Still struggling with car at idle after 8 years
I've been following your struggle for all of those eight years. If I remember correctly, the person who sold you the car has a less than stellar reputation. You might be stuck with the problem until you have the engine and carbs rebuilt by a reputable shop.

71 series 2 console
The paint I used for mine, as seen in the picture a couple messages earlier, was a satin black rattle can for outside furniture. I bought it at ACE Hardware and it's held up well for over six years.

Very little activity the last two days. Might be an issue with the site, or it might be an issue with the participants.

Car cover
Take your pick of anywhere from WalMart to to your local auto parts store. Google is your friend in doing an on-line search for a wide selection of car covers. The brand I sold was Covercraft. They've been around for decades and make a good product. Have fun shopping and picking the one that works best for you!

Car cover
Water proof covers trap moisture underneath - not good. A poly-cotton cover, either custom fit or generic, will allow moisture to escape and is quite durable. I used to sell covers and still use a couple that are over 30 years old.

Z badge on the qtr panels
They just pull off on my '71 Z. No sure if they do on earlier years.

Or lonely shut-in living in his mother's basement and reaching out for social contact from a caring classic Japanese car enthusiasts group. We'll probably never know.

Rear tail light panels
Before I painted mine earlier this year, I read all the threads on this forum by others who had painted their tail light finishers to determine opinions on a close color match. After sanding and a coat of Rust-Oleum Flat Gray primer, I used Dupli-Color Perfect Match Dark Shadow Gray BFMO360 which is listed as a Ford color and topped it with Rust-Oleum Ultra Cover Matte Clear. I'm very pleased with the results.

240z video repaint indonesia
Average annual income in Indonesia is $837 so labor costs are way low and they make their equipment last. The shop reminds me of one near where I lived in the Philippines a very long time ago. They hand hammered Excalibur replicas on the chassis of your choice for very little money.
