im stuck on things like the ALternator?? can i just cut the alt plugs off the 240k loom and whack the rb25 plug on? and i want to wire the rb25 to the original 240k instrument panel... can this be done?? thanks in advance, Daniel p.s i'll post some pics later, its come along quite abit

Anybody got and scans of 240K wiring diagrams they could post? Might try and get the interior fan blower working in my K. Wiring digrams would be a help.

Hi, I'm looking at replacing the head lights in my 240K, I'm not sure on what size to buy ( not the globe), and not wanting to pull one out just to measure, also can any one tell me the different between the smooth reflector type compared to the ones with the little flats in it, pic included I'm wanting to use H4 type, and later HID Nigel

Hello, Well I installed a Mallory Unilite vac advance distributor along with a Blaster 3 coil and NGK plugs on my L28/N42 with triple Mikuni carbs. The car has been running ok but a little rich due to the upgraded ignition that was on the engine before I bought it. It did not come with the engine, but I do plan on buying an MSD 6A for it. But any way, I go to start the car in the morning and when I step on the gas, the power cuts off. The car has not been running for around a month. I checked the fuel, and I've got a new battery and I think the carbs work, but I do not have any power going to the coil. I checked the coil with a multimeter and it's good. I even hooked up t…

Hello, I was just wondering if anyone knew anything about selecting spark plug wires? Does it really matter what kind of wire you get for your car? Do you need a certain set up with a Mallory Unilite Distributor and a MSD Blaster 2 coil, and MSD 6A?

I know this is retarded but I don't want to short anything so I'll make a quick post. How do I put this back together? Its an electronic distributor out of my 240z. The second pic shows the fireball igniton wire and mounting bracket. Where does the little ground wire go? And what hole do I place the mounting bracket in for the cable?? Thanks

help anyone,i was driving and i turned on the lights and it lasted 10sec and it blew a fuse, i removed all front and lights(there is no side marker lights hook-up) and disconnected the rear tail lights and it blows the fuse, i inspected underneath the dash and did not find anything unusal, the signal and the hazard is working. :stupid: anyone have any clues,thanks

Hi Guys, a very good friend of mine (the guy helping me build the 240k), bought an electronic dizzy out of a 280zx for his 260Z with L28. he didn't get a rotor arm with it, could anyone please help out? apparently there are two types, not sure if the rotors are different, but he has: Distributor cap Distributor body (D6K9-05) Ignition module (E12-80 – 1 top plug with two terminals)<O:p</O:p Six spark plug leads Ignition coil

Hey Guys, I have an R31 electronic dizzy at home which I am looking at fitting to my L24, carby motor. Any ideas on weather this will be fine? It's from an RB30 motor not Lseries, and I have taken my stock one off and fitted this one and it all sits fine, just not sure if there is anything internal that would cause issues? Wiring for it seems identical to the R30 ones. Did a search but only found info on R30/280zx dizzy's. cheers Bobby

I'm slowly getting my EFI set up done, I brought a MR30 skyline, to use the EFI from, I stripped the wiring harmes out, Hacked the wiring a bit, and I kept the fuse box, plugged it back onto the motor (still in the MR30 Skyline) to make sure it was still running, All appears to be good, started on my 240K to see where I was going to put it (ECU), I decided under ther dash, left hand side, above the parcel tray, I put a hole in the fire wall, put the wiring through to make sure it fitted, Now I'm hacking the inlet manifold, removing the webbing and EGR plenum, I've included some pictures..
