Wheel Wells... body colour or black?
I realize that body color is really the correct method but I went black because I didn't want to see bright yellow from the wheel wells around the black tires. Final body color might influence the decision. A darker color in blue or green, I probably wouldn't have bothered

Wesley's Dream & The Journey of a '72 240Z
When you say the numbers don't match, what do you mean? The engine number should match the data plate under the hood that has the engine number on it, not the VIN number....

New 77 280z owner in Florida
I agree with siteunseen on SEM for panel colors. Paint panel works really good on panels that don't get rubbed very much. I would work on cleaning the door cards and armrest with some good cleaners. As for AC I would consider upgrading to a rotary AC compressor ...

@Hardway Not your fault at all! I put it in my ebay watch list and got distracted. "Squirrel!!!" I am working a lot right now and just forgot. It will be ok. A friend on the forum says he will take care of me...

Why won't this bolt go in?!
You would think some of these states would come to their senses and realize that 40 year old cars aren't really contributing very much to pollution concerns!!!

1981 280ZX Turbo going to the Crusher
Don't want to start a pissing match but there are a number of classic Z's that are just as quick. Big Phils from hybrid Z comes to mind. I think he's making about 472 Hp in a car that weights 1400#'s less. Can't hardly keep it in a straight line even with limited slip. On a different note... I do like your car, 69 is my favorite year. I was working on 73' for my son until he lost interest. Sold it in pieces...

at wits end
Bad ground occurred to me too. It does seem far fetched but who knows... Wires, cap & rotor don't change it, so: plugs or distributor/pertronix
