  1. Does it go on the inside or outside? I thought it went on the outside... I had planned on building a brace on the inside or else it will droop at speed and drag the ground
  2. The difference is the Porsche is probably worth 80k finished. The problem is really that equally rusted cars will require about the same amount of man hours to repair but one car is worth a lot more with the same amount of time invested albeit with more expensive parts...
  3. Happy Birthday
  4. I sort of like the way they look all Chrome
  5. That's excellent John. So glad you got it worked out. Let me know if you need any help on the brakes or random tools...
  6. Or I will say "Nee!" "Nee,Nee,Nee..." OK, I will get your a shrubbery!..."
  7. @nahurry Thanks for the reply. I was wondering what color your car was because I saw a Z the other day on the south end of Woodruff rd but it was orangish...
  8. That is a flexplate, automatics don't have flywheels...
  9. 240z's are pretty simple...if the body is good, straight with no rust issues, it's worth $6,500. The timing components are cheap, fuel tank probably needs cleaning. If it almost started I wouldn't be terrified of it but I can also do my own work...
  10. @nahurry what color is your car?
  11. Looks like we have three members in the area: pogden, borini63 & pepper. One of them might help inspect the car. You might want to offer a courtesy fee for their time I would definitely get it inspected even if I had to hire an independent inspector. A Z guy would be better though because they know what to look for. The car doesn't look bad but nothing does from 30' away...
  12. Nope, totally different animals...
  13. Already deleted
  14. Said the old lady as she kissed the cow...
  15. I tend to agree with Zed Head but I don't have any hard facts to back that up. The engines are totally different and I suspect you would need a custom mounting plate made to adapt the 350z tranny; that will cost extra. Clutch and pressure plate are going to be an issue and could require custom pieces, again more cash. Will the 350z tranny even fit in an S30 tunnel? Is the tranny the right length to come up into or close to the shifter hole. How does it mount? How will you have to modify the chassis to hold the new tranny and on and on and on... Having done projects like this myself with mixed results I suggest you don't try to "reinvent the wheel". Go with a tried and true 5 speed option and drive on
  16. Any idea on how to accomplish this?
  17. Thanks, Jim and you are correct unicorns aren't cheap...
  18. I like the cut, very neat. No raggedness...
  19. That's a bargain. Is white zinc the correct plate for these parts and the bolts?

  21. If that's what you started with, you've done good!
  22. I suspect more than $1000. I don't have time right now to look through ebay but those are the Italian made bodies (deisreable) the 18's with the manifold and the Redline filters...
