  1. Thank you. She is working on going to Kentucky for her doctorate, otherwise she will stay at Bama
  2. I agree, the best course of action is to fix the leak and pull a vacuum. the system needs to be clean and dry inside.
  3. Mission accomplished
  4. @Captain Obvious @siteunseen None of that sounds good!
  5. The id's are different on the washers but I was thinking the shape of the washers were slightly different too.
  6. Steve has been resistant to making rubber pieces for the suspension. I believe the concern stems from liability. However if he were to only supply the rubber section and the owner did the DIY part, then that seems to mitigate that issue. If nothing else, Steve should be able to speak to whether his process would work for these parts.
  7. Unless I am mistaken by the user name, Bambikiller240 is deceased and was from New Zealand before he passed.
  8. It's been sitting for two years. It's not going to run great with out some diligent work. Connections need to be cleaned and there may be varnish in the fuel system that may have to be dealt with
  9. I don't really know what the process would look like. Are the rubbers that are being used to reproduce other NLA parts suitable for this application? If a suitable product is available, the molds are relatively small but a good part would be needed for making the molds
  10. Totally agree. I am not sure the car would survive the trip in one piece onto and off of the trailer. It's a shame, but when the outside looks that bad, then all the sheet metal is thin and badly corroded in the concealed spaces. You would have to have two donor cars to come up with enough panels to salvage this one. And you would basically have to take the car almost all the way apart to do it.
  11. Could be, I think he over estimates the value of "what he's got..."
  12. Too bad. I know what he's got too. And lot's of it! Rust... and a title... This where the problem really lies. Not very much car there to work with but the value is in the VIN
  13. It's a shame we can't find a vendor to reproduce these. Might need a core charge for the washers, but still..
  14. Congratulations!!
  15. The urethane is harsher too and ride quality can suffer. A G35 has a much more refined suspension and is much quieter overall
  16. Ok, so now they're just being silly. The car is a total loss! Not enough in parts to justify that price.
  17. Yes and at one point they had a BiN of like 12k
  18. You're killing me. Tons of progress
  19. Off of memory, you disconnect the rag joint. Take the bolt out at the lower end and pull it off the rack. That last part is usually harder than it sounds.
  20. This one runs tomorrow https://www.copart.com/lot/38427609 I saw it when it was in Mass, which is where the title is from. Look at the big holes int he doors and rockers. You know there is more of that! $4,600 already!
  21. Early gas cap too. Those are pretty rare also...
  22. I thought I would tag on here instead of creating a new thread. I watched a 71 240z roll through Copart today. It had a Florida title and was probably really rusty. It went through for $4,550! plus fees (maybe another 20%). It sold to Poland. So it has to be shipped to Europe on top of that!! Amazing...
