Hi I am Joe! I previously has a 1982 silver 280zx coupe and had an offer from my parents to give the car to my brother and get a new car in its place. My brother who lived in another state promptly traded the 280 in for what I recall as a peice of junk rusted out for pickup. For years I wished I had known that would happened, I would have given him the money for the truck. Here it is about 15 or 16 years later and I am visiting my brother and I see a car in a yard that looks like mine. I go way up this guys drive way (about a 400 fooot drive way) only to find it was not mine, this one had T tops. I talk with the guy a few minutes and the next weekend I came back and boug…

To begin with I'm going to state that I am 22 years old and fairly naive. I bought a 1976 280z from a guy in central Arizona. When buying the car I asked him multiple times is there any problems with the car. Numerous times he insisted the car is ready to be sold and has no problem. When I bought the car it looked great. There is only one rust spot on the whole thing and it looks really nice for its age. Earlier today I found a random wire hanging under my dash. It came from the radio, so I decided just to cut the dam thing. While I was under there I find that there is a piece of cardboard box on the floor. I pull the thing off and come to find there is a quarter sized h…

I just bought my first Z. Well, actually it's a 370ZX. But, being a car lover and builder, i'm going to start the seach for a worthy 240 or 260 builder.

When I was young and stupid I owned a one owner 1983 datsun 280zx turbo. It was a beautiful one of a kind car. It made me feel so good. I was known to everyone. People I didn't know knew me. I felt like the highschool football player. It was a great feeling. I would get stopped everywhere I went by strangers, friends, and even cops. But because of rushing to walmart for Christmas pictures I took a wrong turn ending up over a curb and a tree stump ending the life of the car I loved. It's been 9 years since that day and I've had other car but nothing compared to a Z car. Well as of today I have just purchased a 1978 Datsun 280z. It's not the car mine was but it will be bett…

someone tried to steal my Z out of my driveway the other night. thats right, peeling paint, dented fender, scratched windshield and all. lucky for me i had taken out the battery, taken out all the spark plugs, and had the coil sitting on my dining room table:) nonetheless, the guy thought jamming a screwdriver into my ignition would work, really tore up my ignition (and arm rest for some reason). he left my cd player for some reason, strange. makes me sad to know that we've got car thiefs (even idiot ones) up in my mountains.

Hi everyone, I had a 77 or 78 280z as my first car in high school that I saved and bought.. partly b/c my dad bought his 240z new in 71. He didn't keep it in good shape but I was very interested in the car, as my first memories were in it (I was born in 76). Anyway, I sold my car even though I loved it so much when I was in college. I told myself that one day I would like another one. So, now it's been more than ten years later, and I'm really wanting another one similar to it. So I'm here to get involved a little in the z world and see if I can find my next baby... I live in North Texas but I'm a bit picky so I may have to see what I can find a little extended out fro…

As the title says I'm looking at getting a Z together and racing it either at track days or in something like VSCDA or SCCA. It's a goal but not a necessity. The real goal is just getting a Z and getting it to where it's drivable and enjoyable! The hope is that my father and I can get together and wrench on a car while we can still thoroughly enjoy our remaining years together. I have a feeling he'd like a 2000 or a 510 but wouldn't mind a Z either. He use to have a 1959 TR3 after his time in the service so I'm sure if we can find one of those... In and around the Wisconsin area although travel for part and parcel pickups might not be out of the question. It all depen…

I just signed up, and thought I'd check in. I have 2 Z cars in the past. I am thinking of getting another 240. Funny, I was looking through my garage and found these. I remember the day I attached these to my car. Hard to believe it was almost 20 years ago !!!!! <a href="http://s377.photobucket.com/albums/oo215/wolfsburg_panel/watercooled%20VW%20Stuff/?action=view¤t=DSCF7491.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i377.photobucket.com/albums/oo215/wolfsburg_panel/watercooled%20VW%20Stuff/DSCF7491.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

Well I sold my '72 last October and it nearly killed me since I had waited Soooo long to get one in the first place. Almost a year later and a move across the country from Vancouver to Toronto and I have found another car that will help ease the withdrawls. This car is decent but has issues that I need to address sooner or later. In it's lifetime one of the previous owners did some extensive body work and the car now sports fiberglass fenders and both quarters are FG as well. The quarters look pretty good but those old FG fenders really need to go. It has an L28 (N42) installed with the E88 intake and SU's and stock 4 spd. The interior is in really decent shape with…
