74 260Z I was taking the rear rims off ,1 lug nut was super tight,snap..... *How does the rear drum come off?Is there any bolts holding it on? how does the rear wheel stay on if there are no bolts holding it? ..Thanks

So today I just pulled my drive shaft out, drained and pumped new fluid into the tranny. Replaced the diff fluid as well. The tranny was leaking, and it was low on fluid when I did this. But I filled it up all the way, I dont really hear anything until Im going about 45 or 50 mph. The tranny shifts good, it shifts better than before, no grinding and smooth as butter. Do you know what this humming could be? It sounds like its coming from the front I had the arse end up when I took the driveshaft off and replaced the seal so no fluid came out. I knew I was low on fluid, so I lowered the car then jacked up the right side a little and pumped new fluid in. It was .75 liters sh…

Heh fellas i need you help he your a trucker of big rigs. We're driving a 2010 Freightliner Century class truck and the turbo is whining and the oil pressure it bunching around and the temp is at 215. What is wrong? Is it the turbo? [well i know im a little stupid just by having a 72 z as my daily driver but that just how much i like my car and thats also why im stuck right now well im changing my water pump right now since yesterday night i noticed that there was some coolant leaking from under it so right after i took everything apart and got to remove the old water pump i noticed this so if you noticed there's a chipped area where the water pump goes so i dont know if this will cause any problem if i put everything back togheter with the new pump or if there is a way to fix this with out having to replaced the whole thing please HELP like i said is my daily driver and is the only car i hav…

Hey all, I thought I'd post this here instead of the classifieds. My neighbor's 73 240Z got rear ended by a dump truck, he's ok but the car sustained some damage. The insurance company is going to fix the car but it's better if he supplies the parts. We need a rear hatch (with or with out glass) Rear taillights and related plastic across the back. And a rear bumper. We're in Vancouver B.C. and road trips down the I-5 are always an adventure. Thanks for looking.

Well!!!!rebuilt my carbs.I cant seem to get the floats set right.So before I take a hammer to them I want to give it another try.I have been trying to set the floats by the tweak and peek method.You know take off the domes,pull out the piston,look at the the fuel level.I just cant seem to get them set at that right level.I either cant see the fuel or it is flooding over the top.when I did get it set so the car would run pretty good,I had alot of popping out the exhaust.some call it character.Personally I dont like it.To each his own..Dont worry guys I wont use the hammer.Just blowing off some steam.I will probably send them to Ztherapy for the rebuild.I have heard enough …

I got rearended a few weeks back and after a long fight with the Insurance company they agreed to repair it. The bumper is toast and the right tailight lens is cracked. After a cursory search, the bumper is hard to find and expensive. Please let me know if anyone has either of these.

Hi, I need a replacement right side under dash duct for my 240Z ac. Several months ago I noticed a complete set of under dash ducts for a Z but did not know that I needed them at that time. Hi, I received some great past help from this forum regarding an engine miss after installing a Pertronix electronic ignition. After trying all of the suggestions, the mechanic changed all the connectors to the tach and the miss finally went away. I purchased a used under dash wiring harness for the connectors. The tach still had a problem with cutting out above 4500 rpm during fast acceleration like it did before. The mechanic hooked up a different tach and it did the same thing - cutting out above 4500 rpm. Now the tach doesn't work at all but the car still does not miss; the needle doesn't move at all.
