  1. Please just get the temp readings and report back.
  2. No longer available. Have to make your own our use springs.
  3. Who knows, All I can testify to is that it worked great on my car with no issues.
  4. I originally researched it through NGK when I was restoring my engine back to factory specs. If you go on their site and search that U1099 p/n it lists it for vintage Datsun’s. The car ran perfectly with the coil and factory ignition.
  5. https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=9165864 Here’s the correct coil for a 78 model without a resistor from Rock Auto. Also available from other suppliers. Also comes with the rubber insulator to fit the OE bracket as well. NGK p/n U1099
  6. Also be careful to not interchange the two connectors @Captain Obvious just mentioned. There is also a sub-harness that may have been mentioned in a previous thread that ties into that circuit. Two wires with bullet connectors wrapped in heat shrink laying on the intake.
  7. On the afm mounting plate. Black wire is factory connected directly to the afm mounting bolt. PO apparently thought the distributor needed a ground. Not factory. The red wire is connected to the bcc’d valve solenoid. NGK makes a 1.5 ohm coil. The label reads “Electronic ignition only”. Can be purchased from AMZ.
  8. Just another toy! Boats are the same way….
  9. I’d like to see the green pearl edition. Not to sure about the grey.
  10. All 3 p/n’s are still available through Nissan.
  11. Almost looks like a turbo application
  12. Bushings appeared to have left the room….Check out the ears on your transmission and try to take a variety of pics. You might have some damage on the ears. Is that grease or aluminum shavings in the pic?

It’s easy to chase these parts at the dealership. I. Merely call with the p/n, majority of the time if it’s still listed they get it from the whs no shipping cost.
  14. He might have the large thin sandwiched bushings off of a ZX. That’s why I was looking for the pics.

Checked Nissan, Still available from the dealer.
  16. All that tells you is the gauge is not dead. Has nothing to do if it’s calibrated correctly. Same applies to the fuel gauge.
  17. Sounds like your shifter bushings are worn. Post a pic before and after disassembly.
  18. Check out AMZ for Moog ball joints. Great quality at a decent price.
  19. You’re relying on a 50 year old gauge to be accurate. You need a direct reading off the engine to rule out that possibility. IMHO
  20. I have some 280 springs you can cut down if you like
  21. @Patcon Didn’t you have that same problem “Lilly”?
  22. Go up to HF and buy a pair of Doyle extended reach needle nose pliers. I believe they are at least 12” long. Makes the job somewhat easier. Extremely hard to get your hand up there.
  23. AEM is available on Amz
  24. Go to CarPartsManual and compare the two different model p/n’s.
