  1. Is this the same model you posted earlier?
  2. Tachs are available on EBay the last time I looked. Easy to change out as well.
  3. Could be the tach just said I’m done. These are 50 year old cars.
  4. Much much better!! I know that’s Great English!!😂
  5. While the Afm is out take a finger nail file and polish up the contacts on the wiring harness connection.
  6. That’s good to know but there are quite a few different components compared to a S30.
  7. Been There, Done That! Pouring rain. And Nothing like soaked pants on a bike!!
  8. @mayolives Curious why you are calling your car a 79 280Z? Unless you went with the 79 ZX larger booster.
  9. Myself and others here on the forum have had great success with Power Boosters Exchange. They are located in The North West. Rebuilt my original and they also can powder coat it for you.
  10. The saving grace for my 78 model that was running extremely rich was changing every connector on the EFI harness. Cleaned all of the male connections. Finger nail file works great and reinstalled the harness. This was after months of trouble shooting. Doesn’t mean you don’t have other issues but you have a good base line to start from.
  11. I’ve had amazing success with Amayama. Once you have found the correct/ superceded part number you basically type it in. If there is a chance they can find it they search first and then request payment. Shipping is amazingly fast.
  12. Those are extremely hard to get. You can sell them easily if someone is going for a high end build.
  13. From the pics that’s in really nice shape if the rest of the car looks like that.
  14. Maybe that would have been better off on another post. Totally threw off where to get an NOS or comparable fan. Difficult sometimes to understand what the post was about originally unless you begin at the beginning. I hope you understand what I’m trying to say. Thanks
  15. Sounds like he was only concerned with the condition of the fan itself unless I missed something in earlier posts.
  16. @SteveJ Wiring issue?
  17. That’s called growing Old “ Gracefully”!
  18. @patcon send me a pm. I have a new Nissan switch
  19. The fuse box on the early model are very suspect. Turn it over if you haven’t already and check the connection’s. A fuse connection sounds suspect to me for the multiple issues you are having.
  20. Vintage is where I bought my complete kit and they recommend not to use the 3 piece kit. They did offer it and it came along with the one piece.
  21. I appreciate the explanation and truly feel your pain doing this in the vehicle.
  22. @Matthew Man, Coming in late here. Decided to go through unread topics I missed and ran across your post. Any chance you posted this to the resource guide for future reference?
  23. I do have a question out of curiosity, Why do you choose to use a cork gasket. I am definitely not a resource on gasket types used but I personally have not seen an old cork gasket that they used in the 70’s era on a Datsun. I realize I’m opening myself up to criticism.
  24. @Zed Head I was merely stating that most folks here haven’t gone that route and trying to be helpful of pointing him in that direction if needed.
