  1. The fuse box on the early model are very suspect. Turn it over if you haven’t already and check the connection’s. A fuse connection sounds suspect to me for the multiple issues you are having.
  2. Vintage is where I bought my complete kit and they recommend not to use the 3 piece kit. They did offer it and it came along with the one piece.
  3. I appreciate the explanation and truly feel your pain doing this in the vehicle.
  4. @Matthew Man, Coming in late here. Decided to go through unread topics I missed and ran across your post. Any chance you posted this to the resource guide for future reference?
  5. I do have a question out of curiosity, Why do you choose to use a cork gasket. I am definitely not a resource on gasket types used but I personally have not seen an old cork gasket that they used in the 70’s era on a Datsun. I realize I’m opening myself up to criticism.
  6. @Zed Head I was merely stating that most folks here haven’t gone that route and trying to be helpful of pointing him in that direction if needed.
  7. Going with the turbo will probably result in getting most of your answers from Hybrid Z’s site. Not a lot of folks here have gone that route.
  8. IMO that needs to be machined and cleaned up. From what I can see you have hot spots.
  9. Is that your flywheel?
  10. I can’t imagine how it ever ran trying to pull fuel at that distance and, Maybe they removed the dampener?
  11. Agree to Disagree and move on. This is not what I personally need to see.

  13. The seal needs to be flush with the back of the block. It will go deeper, ask me how I know. Had to order another one from nissan🤦‍♂️
  14. The Rear main seal is still available from Nissan the last time I checked. The rest looks good. Be carefull tapping in the new seal from Nissan. I don’t advise shortcuts from other vendors as far as the rear main.
  15. If you could even find an NOS switch it would be serious money.

Good deal! Keep that hammer handy!!
  17. That scissor jack is a life saver. Used mine over and over for many applications?
  18. That plug IMO doesn’t look like it’s firing.
  19. And if you can find an AFM that hasn’t been modified. The wiring harness itself could be the culprit. After replacing all of the connections on the EFI harness made a huge difference for me.
  20. @Mike Think we could fenagle a group buy? You are in charge of negotiations of course!!!

  23. Dodged a major bullet my friend!
  24. SWEET!! I like the “517” series myself.
  25. I’ve seen those bolts with the one flat side that keeps it from spinning when you tighten the nut. I remember having to wedge a flat head screw driver underneath to keep it from spinning.
