Hey, @Mike the car’s paid for and trying to build another today will definitely be difficult than the era you built that beauty. Just sayin!
  5. I had a twin stack on a 240 many years ago. I don’t remember it being that loud. Your car should have a resonator already. Put it on and try it. No cost involved.

The pic shows a stick shift in the console so I assume it’s manual. Possibly a chaffed cable touching metal.
  7. I’m not sure about the “super fast” part of it. You should only need sealant on the corners of the wind shield IMO.
  8. Confused how this post got into this thread.
  9. I want one, Then again I want my project to be on the road also!!!
  10. I’ve seen this mentioned here before on the cable length. Reverse left to right will give you more cable length. You will have to do some engineering on the hangers.
  11. @captainobvious Nice work Bruce, What gauge cable did you use?
  12. @SteveJ
  13. Need as many pics as possible at this point.
  14. Leave it alone and keep keep an eye on the pre & post filters IMO.
  15. Possibly change the system to a higher resistance coil? And get rid of one or both ballasts. Just a thought
  16. So, Trying to go on my weak short term memory, How would you service the wiper motor etc? You have to basically remove the fenders?
  17. Remove that variable and have it rebuilt. It looks completely worn out. Have them powder coat it while they have it.
  18. If you haven’t done so already, download the FSM for your car off this site.
  19. Are you sure your exhaust can breathe properly? Possibly the exhaust system could be a variable.
  20. My 78 280Z does not have that bumper stop. I’ve got a couple from ZCD. If any one is interested send a pm.
