  1. Yeah, I guess he did. I sat in the waiting area. It was the MSA kit I installed myself and the hangers are half rubber and half metal. It was the one under the driver's seat and the very end where it comes out the cut out of the painted rear. That hole is so much smaller than the 2.5" system I have it needed to be solid, unmovable. Good luck with yours. So much smaller for the OE pipe I meant to say.
  2. Mine had the same. Took it to an exhaust shop, he made a couple of spot welds for $25 and no more clatter.
  3. When I was mowing apartment complexes I got hit quite often by the ones that live in the ground. Yellow jackets I believe? I've thrown weedeaters, blowers and jumped off mowers running and screaming. The Tennant's got a kick out of me, no extra charge. Awe the good old days. Thank goodness I made a few good decisions in my life.
  4. Whelp, it's that time of year when I post my traditional song.
  5. I've never been stung by a hornet but have always heard it's like small caliber gunshot. When I was a kid one of my friends had one form in a shrub outside his bedroom window. His Dad got drunk and decided to plug the hole with a wine cork. He had to be taken to the ER from so many bites. They follow the attack pheromone.
  6. Is that a wrestler or something, The Murder Hornet?
  7. Your's looks great! I'd give anything to go back to the 1st rattle can color I used, Ford blue. I ended up going to Pontiac blue and it's too pale. It has darkened some with time though so it's not as "baby boy blue".
  8. CNN has a documentary on him January 3rd. I've got it set to record. 'Jimmy Carter 'Rock and Roll President'.
  9. I dove it for about an hour today. 62 degrees and sunny down here. Had some strain on start up when I put fuel in. I'm going to swap the battery out of my 280 over in the next day or two. It's newish, not quite a year old. I have a reman alternator that tested good when I bought it. Thats option #2, the more time consuming. No matter the charging problem the car ran top notch after sitting for a few months. A lot more going on in MY head the past couple of months, cars on the back burner until very recently.
  10. I don't want 5 decades behind my way of life.
  11. Simmering septic tank. Sometimes you have to add scum killer.
  12. Changing the F wire I think? Something like that..
  13. Seems like I put an internal like a dip stick that I am and it popped all my fuses. Lessons learned aplenty on here from you guys. Many thanks!
  14. Thank you both! I thinks it's external??? Early '72 OE Hitachi
  15. 240 shows 13.40 at idle on the positive and negative post. 14.45 volts at 2,000 rpm. Belt is snug, battery and alternator are both old. Any advice would be appreciated. Amp gauge sits dead in the middle, never forward just backwards when brake lights or turn signals are on. Thanks in advance. Cliff
  16. Well I'll always remember you guys no matter how rich and famous.
  17. #1 in my book is TERM LIMITS. On of Alabama's, Richard Shelby, is 100 or something close.
  18. Keep on you Rascal! I might get an extra large Christmas gift from my stepmom after my Dad's passing then there will be a classic bike in between my Zs. Fingers crossed.
  19. I'm glad to see you have that "Y" pipe on the passenger's side. Mine is on my car so I wasn't able to offer that. Looks like you have a good plan. Glad I could help out the small way I did.
  20. So I assume the OE airbox wouldn't be viable? Hell it's a pain to get it off there now with the one insulator. Thank you Racer X. I love learning stuff. Maybe I can figure out something useful from your info.
  21. https://qz.com/1572381/the-relationship-between-boeing-trump-and-the-federal-government/ You got your boots on? It gets deep.
  22. Double stack carb spacers? Never heard that but I'm no racer. 2 x these with longer bolts will add power? With a mechanical pump or would you need the electric like you have? I'm thinking of switching to SUs on my EFI '77 2.8 that's been "breathed" on a little bit. Opened up the ports to a trumpet looking match. It's either play with what I have or get another motorcycle, my Mom's still alive but another bike and she would drop dead. " I'm coming Elizabeth!! the dummy bought another motorcycle". I'd have to go electric for my N42 head. I have a high lift cam kit sitting on a shelf, MSA calls it a stage 3. I think it's a schneider 274? Yep, .480. http://schneidercams.com/274FL6.aspx
  23. UPS in Birmingham, AL. In 2014, the Independent Pilots Association filed suit against the FAA to end the cargo airplane exemption from the flight crew minimum rest requirements.[18] In 2016 the lawsuit was dismissed by a Washington, DC court, which determined the FAA had acted reasonably by excluding cargo airlines from the rest requirement based on a cost vs benefits analysis.
  24. siteunseen replied to Zed Head's topic in Open Chit Chat
I'm sure he'll respond. He probably wears backwards hats at the dinner table too. Famous people aren't like us, they don't need common life sense, no need to.
  25. Was that the "black dragon" kit I remember reading a bunch of crap about?
