  1. I love Clamato bloody marys. They're called Bloody Ceasars, BTW. I asked a Guatemalan I work with what she calls Mexican cornbread. She said "Mexican cornbread".
  2. $6 a four pack. I spend $12. It's not so much a hangover cure as it is a cause. I just can't drink regular beer in the winter and liquor brings out the monster Drankenstein in me. I mean know harm...
  3. Abomination maybe? I like "abhorrence for that abomination". Yes, I'm at home with my Cheladas on my off day.
  4. Nah, $11,000 would pay off my house. I'll find a straight but ruff one sooner or later and fix it up. Especially after seeing that one you linked. Old is new money, cars and motorcycles, boats, blue jeans etc. you name it (except men and women).
  5. The only drawback I've ever considered is the coolant cavitation that @240260280 spoke about but I never just jump in my Z and hit the road. I have my rituals that I do while it warms up enough to open the main thermostat. Also they live inside, never lower than 60F.
  6. Rebuilding a smashed bike gives us something to do while we are recuperating, right? It's always my legs that get busted and end up in a cast. I have also hit a tree Dutchguy. Seems hard to do and people laughed when I told them, "how can you hit a tree?" Well they won't get out of the way when you run off the road into the forest. Damn pine straw on the edge of the road in curves is like ice. You all better quit this harassment or I'll have to go out and buy another.
  7. I used the newer style and haven't had any issues after about 4 years now? I would do it again in a heartbeat. Steve, you'll get them on way quicker than me. I had to do some figuring out. Switching the short hard lines from side to side cut down on the bending needed. I do remember that.
  8. I can't tell if your pro or con on this. Doesn't matter but being a southerner that phrase could go either way.
  9. Love that Suzuki! I've been looking for 2 stroke Yamaha RD400. My dad had one when I was a kid. Good memories.
  10. I plugged mine off. Car runs great. The carbs are cool to the touch now. The thing is most of those thermostats fail to close up when heated allowing the hot coolant to run through constantly. Plus you remove potential leak spots. That 90 degree hose at the rear of the head is suspect #1.
  11. Waiting patiently with pleasure!

Germs... "Before a lethal injection they alcohol cotton swab your arm"
  13. I have done something close to this but it only hurt me, about $2,000 and 12 months without a driver's license. I forgot headlights use a concave reflection mirror for high beam/low beam. Put duct tape on the top of my headlights thinking that would make high beams low beams. WRONG. Spent the night in jail. The cooler of empty beer cans didn't help either.

There's a lot of wind blowing out of the WH presently. "I just want to go home"

I think Omaha Steaks would be the best choice for delivery of the super cold vaccine. I know they haven't let me down over the past 30 years for Xmas gifts. I want to buy stock in dry ice @Diseazd.
  16. This may help. Thumbnail clicks of Datsun colors. http://zhome.com/History/ZColorGallary/index.html Pics of actual cars... https://zcarguide.com/datsun-280z-stock-paint-interior-colors-us-canada/ I like that darker blue too! Mine have always been the blue/silver #305. Seems like that was a north American color. Very few dark blues are over here. I've seen one with white interior that was beautiful.

I can't tell you guys how much I appreciate being able to "socialize" with someone other than my dog and the people I work with. It's hard being safer at home but thankfully I have friends over the internet. No mask or washing my hands after visiting here. Cliff
  19. To add to the heroes that died on 12/7, Mr Yeager was one of the many. Different years but still are memorialized were the ones in Pearl Harbor.
  20. The short hose from the hardlines to the wheels, what kind of shape are they in? I, as did most others, put stainless braided hoses there and got rid of the old rubber lines. Heyitsrama said it better. Hardlines to calipers.

Is that old phrase, no news is good news, still worth a grain of salt in our current instant news life? Nothing on Rudy Giuliani today...no tweets, no nothing. We'll have to wait until Saturday's SNL opening.

I'm hoping the best for you guys Mark. I honestly think I had a strain of it in February and that built immunities up for me. I've never felt worse than I did for 4 days, 103 104 temp. Almost went to the ER a couple of times but sweated it out. My Doc said it was an upper respiratory infections???? Cliff
  24. That seems like a good deal for the buyer. I'd yank the a/t out but looks like a nice car. Never seen #110 on a '78 Z.

Oh it's horrible down here! Damn idiots, I argue with somebody everyday that says it's like the flu. "Do you let your kid play with loaded guns? They're like toy guns."
