  1. Look at Disepyons rocker thread. Lots of good pictures...
  2. Reproduction plates are available. It is unlikely you can get the overspray off without removing the black paint from the data plate...

There is this one on Ebay but I don't know if it's the right one. Not real cheap either... http://www.ebay.com/itm/Datsun-280z-front-bumper-in-Excellent-condition-includes-finisher-8-8-10-/272850310140?hash=item3f872553fc:g:BwoAAOSwBgtZvZtY&vxp=mtr
  4. Photobucket sucks!!! Just thought I would add that here... squirrel!!!!

Utility wires that are pole to pole are all unshielded! Normally on the pole the high voltage wires are at the top and there is a ground/neutral wire that runs at the very bottom, well I take that back, telephone and cable are normally at the very bottom. The service comes in to the transformers and gets stepped down to 110v single phase...be very careful around these unshielded wires, they will kill you dead!!! I have been shocked numerous times by 110v and 277v but the voltages on the poles are something like 4400v's, one of our resident "sparkies" can confirm. That will make you crispy!!!!
  8. I have some partial panels from Charlie laying around. When you figure out what you need to fix it, let me know and I will see if I have that section...
  9. my 2 cents... Don't get distracted by the turbo, if you savings account is shallow, then turbo is not the way to go. It takes money to go this route... I would go flat top for sure and don't be lazy! Use some of the good online engine calculators to figure out what you will have when you're finished. Figure out what compression you want to run and how to get there. You are gonna have to spend some money to build the motor and if your dollars are as limited as mine then it would be a shame to spend that money and not end up with what you want...especially for just a little home work. Read some of the engine build threads for Diseazd he has built a number of engines...
  10. How far above sea level?

Find that build sheet and do it. I am sure the forum can help with many of those issues
  12. Relay block or fuse box? Fuse box mounts down to brackets on the tunnel with a long screw

@PKD You need to start a thread for your car and show us what's been done. Looks fairly heavily modified: turbo, manifold, fuel rail, intercooler, etc. We like pics because some of us don't read so well. By the way if you're ever in the upstate PM me and you can swing by the house...

  15. OK, much better. I knew I had to be missing something...
  16. Cool! Surely you took more pictures than that, shutterbug!
  17. I'm confused! If I understand correctly the threaded section goes through the firewall with an aluminum section on one side and a fender washer and lock nut on the other side of the firewall. How do you get it installed? I would think the ball socket end would interfere with assembly and disassembly
  18. I totally understand and agree! My wife and her best friend are both chemist, but that still hasn't help me get repeatable results. It can't be as hard as I'm making it or commercial plating would be far more costly.
  19. Does anyone have an inside line at Nissan to get them to put this on the list to remanufacture? Almost all of the bushings I have been buying lately are new bushings, made this year or last year...
  20. I bought a 10 amp CC/CV variable power supply for about $75. I agree the window for good results seems to be kind of small. It can also be hard to figure out how to adjust the process based on results to get to where you want to be...
  21. Lots of pretty hardware!!
  22. I could have told you that's not possible! Isn't that obvious...
  23. So you are using a good bit of brightener!? How much liquid in your plating tank?
  24. @ksechler Not to thread jack, but have you ever written up your ignition set up?
