240z dash and steering column fitting
I am pretty sure the 280Z dash and column cover are deeper than the 240Z dash and cover, even if they mount similar. You may even have a 240 dash on a 280 dash frame. Who knows at this point. Sounds like you have your plan all set for new extended the covers and some fabric/glue to fix it up. Good luck. Just get it driving and enjoy the car!!!!

240z dash and steering column fitting
Almost seems like there is a 280z pedal box in there, with 240Z column and dash.

float bowl overflow
Put the stock Nissan filter in there, you still have the bracket. No way I can tell you what is wrong with your car through the ol' interweb.

Z's on BAT and other places collection
I don't doubt it at all CO. My tool kit has all these things and some bailing wire, string, rubber bands, and extra nuts and bolts. I've only needed them for other peoples cars.

How does Iki switch on dome light fit together? (1970 240z)
To go along with a best guess scenerio, The S is next to the D on the keyboard. My guess is he means the "dome" light. It looks like a dome light switch.

Thanks, They are on the sides as well. When I went Racing Green I had them put the ghost flames back on. Gets a lt of good comments.

Let's show vintage racing pictures. I'll start.
Okay, one of our members Ken knew your cousin and he told us of the tire bounce issue. I used to live in Monterey and went to LS all the time. I do miss that. Here is a pic with the 112 car.

[2026] What Did You Do To/with Your Z Today?
Yeah, no! I would go with something like The Phoenix It was a bad morning. The deer did not make it, but the car was reborn.

[2026] What Did You Do To/with Your Z Today?
Thanks Charles, The car, originally Safari Gold, had been painted black. After a deer encounter I decided to go Racing Green as I always liked the color.

[2026] What Did You Do To/with Your Z Today?
I do, I have had a few different sets of wheels on this car. It came with polished slots, Then I found some American Racing wheels I ran for a while. These VTO's came with a parts hoard I picked up new in boxes. I really like the look of them. The polished lip really complements the chrome / stainless on the rest of the car. Thanks for the comment.

[2026] What Did You Do To/with Your Z Today?
Our Z club went to the Historic Races in Kent WA at Pacific Raceways yesterday 07/04. We set up in the car coral, and get to drive the track in the parade laps. Fun day. Lots of Z's 510's and 1200's Peter Brock was there as part of racing history. My car ran great for the 110 mile trip there and then back.

Picked up a 78 280z today. PROS & CONS with some Pics.
Well if Site's don't work out these could be another option. I do not know any specifics on these, They came in a hoard I picked up in OR sometime ago. As far as the green I think your light ones are just these but faded. Again I am not really sure.

Help... lost the stop bolt to the accelerator pedal
New info.... I checked my 1/70 car and found the piece to be different. The early one had no phillips head and is 6mm thread. The later ones did have the phillips and are 8mm thread. Also.... I checked the hood stopper on a 73, and it had the phillips but has a different thread again. a fine thread in between the 6 and 8 It has a rubber stopper and a thread cover on the bottom. It took a 7/16 (11mm) wrench to remove, and of course broke while turning. This is a heavy rust area.
