Tie down for jack and tools
The stamp looks like WAH which would be a 1977 / Jan 8th jack. (With Kats, dating system) It also has 4 rivets on the bottom indicating a later jack. The early 70 - 71 jacks only had 2 rivets. The over all length is shorter on the later jacks as well.

240z Airbox
This one shows mid 71 which I am more inclined to believe. The transmission change came with a lot of other changes.

240z Airbox
I am not exactly sure of the pinpoint VIN number change but I expect it would be at the transmission change (A to B) in mid 71. If you have the heat riser on the exhaust manifold that would be a good indicator. CPM says 06/72 was the change over.

240z Airbox
If your car is the early style you would want the box without the cold air flap / heat riser.

Datsun Tools
Recently a guy on FB posted he had bought a bunch of Datsun tools and tool boards. He has them all cleaned up and mounted on the garage wall. Makes a nice display. I have the Special tools manual from 9/69 and a couple of mechanic seat covers that I really have never seen before. Do any of you have any info on the seat covers?

4-Bolt axle frange bolts.
These look as good or better than anything I have. I don't have anything plated or zinced. You can type in your part numbers on a Nissan web site to see if they are available. Save a trip.

4-Bolt axle frange bolts.
Did you buy this set off eBay?? It shows sold as of yesterday. Junkyard Jenny has some nice parts at reasonable prices.

4-Bolt axle frange bolts.
Nissanparts.cc is my local dealer in Olympia, but I always try to look up the part numbers myself. Either with the physical parts book or Carpartsmanual.com @CB Garrett I found 3 bolts so far, I'll have more time to look this weekend.

What does this do?
It is a thermostatic switch to close off the manifold coolant line (the tube across the manifolds). A remedy for over heating the fuel, that did not function well. IMHO
-
And again, what does this do?
Crankcase breather tube, The large hole goes the the PCV valve on the intake manifold.

Fuel Injection visor tag.
I checked JDM Car Parts and Bonzi for reproductions and did not see this one. Anyone have a reproduction of this tag? Maybe good pictures of both sides? The correct green string? I found this pic on a Mecum auction for a Black Pearl.

How hard is it to rebuild a 72 240z brake booster?
While I do have the special tool to open the booster, I also used Powerbrakeexchange. I live in WA and just dropped it off there. Traded in some of my cores for a discount as well. Call and ask then if he still has my cores, he can rebuild that and would likely just charge more for you not sending in a core. If that works for you.

I was Surprised...
This happens a lot at car shows I attend that are Ford Chevy Dodge shows. A lot of people have a Z story and then I end up with an award. I go to the Z car shows and am poo poo'ed for having a driver. with a little rust. I suppose it is all relative to who ia at what show.
