It might be time for me to upgrade from Windows 98 since my Juno dial-up speed seems to be crawling on my 56K modem 😉

Wanted: Nikki 271070 Fuel Pump
I'd stay away from tumblers because aggressive media can round off screw threads and sharp edges of the component. I really like my ultrasonic cleaner. The one I purchased is large enough to easily clean the body of an SU carburetor and make quick work of years of grease and crud build-up. I'll make a solution of 1 part Simple Green to 4 parts water and put it in a clear plastic zipper loc bag, along with my parts. Next I'll put it in the cleaner and fill the of the tank with plain water. It also works great to keep jewelry nice and shiny. It has paid for itself is time saved in labor.

Looking for Original Datsun Hose Clamps
I would try Z Car Doctor in Idaho https://zcardoctor.com/ The small s-slip that keeps the choke cables together went missing on my '72. He didn't have it, but connected me with another Z parts collector that had one 🙂

I would love to add another Z to my stable. Unfortunately, I'm on thin ice with the Boss of the House.

I'm looking forward to seeing this example going up for auction on BaT. The level of effort and detail is exemplary 👍

Early Z road tests
Maybe Brock Yates had a heavier right foot than David E. Davis, which could account for the time difference. 😉 I still miss those guys and their style. Damn good automotive writers too!

New Historical Z car Timeline
@HS30-H Thank you for setting the record straight and pointing out the inaccuracies of the video. I take anything posted on YouTube with a grain of salt when it comes to historical accuracy. It is often more about generating Likes 👍 and ad revenue 💰 than integrity of the subject matter presented.

Z's on BAT and other places collection
Sadly the car appears to be restored on the cheap with many corners cut with the intent of flipping it for maximum profit. There's a lot of work to undo and much money to be spent on this vehicle to get it to a point where a correct restoration can begin. Frankly, I'd rather start a rusty basket case than this. At least that way it wouldn't be like peeling back an onion of hidden surprises.

The floor pan repairs look kind of shoddy...IMHO.

Hopefully if the bidding crosses the million-dollar mark, the seller with throw in five-dollar gas voucher and pine tree air freshener to hang from the mirror 😆

Z's on BAT and other places collection
I had the opportunity to get up close and personal with one at a car meet in San Luis Obispo a few years ago. The original (and current) owner purchased it new when he was in the US Navy stationed in Hawaii.
