  1. Well it finally happened to me too! I had to go to my Mom's veterinarian to get flea meds for her animals. Signs everywhere, Xs taped on the floor every 6 feet. The whole push. But damn idiots where packed in there like sardines in a can. After 5 minutes my smart arse passive aggressive personality took over and I said really loud, "are these seeing eye dogs? Can you people not read? Please stay away from me!" One girl muttered "no joke, what are y'all thinking?" COVIDIOTS
  2. Wiper motor cleaned and installed. Factory wiper boots should seal up the wiper stalks from corroding again. Added some anti seize to the stalks for longevity. Gratuitous beauty shot... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Im not sure if those are available as replacement parts, but see http://ace240z.com/window rollers.html

Sorry to hear it. Teachers are special people. Sounds like a man who was greatly appreciated in his community.
  5. Given that many of the component parts on these cars were made by different companies and/or affiliates of Nissan and Nissan Shatai, I would not necessarily expect them all to have been painted with exactly the same material, or to the same standard/thickness/sheen.
  6. @CanTechZ Congrats. You have the first Z car gas tank I've ever been able to see a clear reflection in!
  7. Yes. Not good. At least the balls are still in their races. Sometimes they're on the magnet too. That's the pieces of a retainer for a ball bearing assembly. Usually it's from an adapter plate bearing. @EuroDat knows the details there. Your trans needs a rebuild. The good news is that things will be soooo much better when it's back together.
  8. Found a good video about checking frame parts...
  9. Gives you something to do while self isolating It is a relief to know anyway I hope I can see this build this summer sometime Casey

I'm not sure those screws are a good idea. I'd be worried that driver might slip off the screw head and mess up the paint. How about some spray coating that looks similar? Undercoating or something like that? Bedliner?
  11. Definitely gets the most compliments of any of my Z cars.

No question there is a critical tension between disease control and the economic impact of keeping businesses closed. The questions are how to open the doors, and when. From what I have read, I have more comfort with a carefully staged and tiered opening than other approaches, but there needs to be evidence that the approach has a basis in science and practice. I am interested in hearing what the east coast and west coast governors' groups have to say after they've tapped the expertise in their regions. The Reuters article above that describes the process that Cuomo leads sounds especially promising! (Especially the effort to "Trump-proof" it.) But I think the economic squeeze is sufficient that a change could happen some time in May...could be early or late. I would place a substantial bet that it will be later than Trump wants. I frankly don't trust the Trump admin to listen to experts or use good judgment in their recommendation. My assumption is that Trump will ignore anyone who knows more than he does, make a "hunch" decision influenced by information from one of his toadies with a profit-making motive, and the outcome wouldn't be good. It's sad that I have to write that last sentence...but we're in a position where our governors need to help us guard against half-baked actions of the president.
  13. I will post updates here if people would like. There are 2 of us working on these currently. We hope to make good progress this summer.

  16. Lined up and clamped the rear quarter panels in place ... and then replaced each clamp with a Cleco ... Then same drill on the driver's side ... It's starting to feel like working on an actual car ...???
  17. https://www.rockauto.com/en/parts/dorman,602885,wiper+linkage+/+transmission,8856 Harold Burroughs posted on FB yesterday about the availability of new aftermarket S30 wiper linkage from Dorman, PN 602-885. Just thought I’d spread the word. He reported the find from Advance Auto’s website, but Rock Auto has access to it also. Anyone with access to Dorman can get it. The price is impressive, $69 CAD. That’s about a $1.98 in USD, so who can resist? Yes as we know you can rebuild and re-lube the stock stuff, but if your shafts are all rusty (as all us old guys know), no amount of lubrication will make things go smoothly or last that much longer.
  18. You'll save time and end up with a better looking valve cover if you remove it first. If you leave it on you'll end up cleaning whatever polishing compound you use from adjacent parts. Besides, it's probably time to check your valve adjustments.
  19. Call a windshield glass installer.
  20. so, are you going to finish, or what?
  21. Thanks Site I wonder if I have one of those lying around, I mean I wonder if I can find one of those I have lying around...
