  1. Installed new chrome center trim on a set of Z tail lights......
  2. Hey everyone, I have finally joined the forums after being a long time lurker. I came in the z world after driving a 78 280z CA car around the bay area over 10 years ago. I later bought that same car, shipped it over the Texas and gave it to my parents as a birthday gift. The car was going to be junked and I got it for shipping only (not a bad deal). My mother always wanted one and it was the best way to bring one in the family. Below is what the car looks like currently although this picture is a few years old.

Now it looks like a Pinto,
  4. Patcon , I agree , after seeing this thread I googled “Mustang power brake Japan “ , lots of shops in Japan are listed , they will provide the kit . I really want to introduce this to Japanese S30 owners if the price is better than buying a GTR master vac . Some S30 repair shops already might know about this , just people like me do not know about it . Even so , it is very nice to know that we have a choice more than one . BTW , 47210-E4625 and 4626 were discontinued and will not be available anymore, I have just received that reply from Nissan . Still waiting for the reply of 47210-R55@@ , a kit for Ken & Merry GTR master vac . Kats
  5. @kats This may be one situation where those of you in Japan could order rebuild kits for these booster from a vendor in the US. I haven't completed the rebuild yet but the early Mustang kit seems to have all the right pieces
  6. Hi , I am asking the repair kit , I hope Nissan still making it . Here is a link of my friend Mr . Watanabe was doing about repair job using Ken & Merry master vac . http://z432.sakura.ne.jp/bmv01.html And Prince Craft is doing repair job for numerous Prince and Nissan master vac . http://www.princecraft.net/pc04.html I miss the 47210-E4626 , it was on Yahoo auction some years ago about 10000 JPY ( 90 USD ) , sometimes we see it , so I hope more coming in someday. 10. I'm thinking we need to do a DNA test, you might be related to me and I sure could use another Z to keep my current one company...?. Just kidding, Welcome to the light! You probably know that we love pictures and provide opinions/advice.
  11. Ok looks like 5/8” drill bit is the right bit to expand the bracket Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile
  12. I have learned that replacing everything on my 240z takes special fabrication, knowing someone that can help, and luck! ? so thank you once again ??
  13. I would encourage you to not get into the "while your at it" syndrome. I did that with my current project and most of my kids have grown up with out a running Z car. It has been a long term fixture in my shop. Your life is only going to get busier for a while if you have small children. All of mine are either in college or getting close. Get your car running and enjoy it. Then your kids can have great memories of riding around with dad in his Z!
  14. Bottom line. If your mechanic isn't bitching and swearing about how difficult the the frackin' rack bushings are too install... you've got the wrong bushings.
  15. Its been awhile since I posted. Haven't been able to work on the car much. My daughter is 6 months now and she has been taking most of my time. I removed much of the tar coating on both the drivers side and passenger side floor pans. I wanted to make sure there was no hidden rust. Thankfully i did not find any more. Since I havent been able to work on the car frequently I gave it a quick coat of eastwood frame sealer today to make sure I dont get any flash rust. Next steps will be to do a compression test on the engine and then pull it so I can replace the frame rail. Having scary thoughts like "since the engine is out why not strip the car and do a full restoration..."

I hit him up to see if he'd part with the radio, but no response. If I came back outside to find my Z looking like that...I'd have to sell it for more than $4200 to cover my bail. Freakin people...
  17. I was going to post a Cramps song but they are a bit too raunchy.... even for me who likes CRASS & PIL lol.
  18. If your just trying to remove the motor, work the grommet through the firewall towards the wiper motor. If it breaks up you can get another as JFA.series1 suggests. Just be careful that you put the correct color wires back in the correct place in the plug
  19. Too bad he went that far and didn't bother to finish it, sounds like everything other than the paint needs sorting out. So you mean finish it properly? Maybe I'll get to it one of these days
  20. PPG was the paint supplier for the Vintage Z program.
  21. Classic racing Days at Mantorp Motorpark. I was the only Datsun....as usual. Lots of fun.
  22. I think I would try and replace those bolt, nut and lockwasher fasteners to a rivnut in the splitter. And some shorter bolts...
