First will they fit, second I have heard they are apporx 1 in shorter, I am wanting to lower my Z but dont want to go with a non Datsun part, wondering if the 240 springs are shorter and if they will fit on a 1977 Z Any help will be appreciated, Im running 205/50/15 tires but want to reduce the gap from the top of the tire to the bottom of the fender and qtr. I like the size of the tire , have considered 205/55/15 but am not sure that I will like the more narrow look of the tire. CAROLINA Z

anyone have any experience with using a cold air intake for carbs?? this site offers a cold air intake box, and I wondered how it would do with bored SU carbs. http://www.racetep.com/tish.html I tried to rig something up with some 3 inch tubing and all it did was restrict flow. it's just that I live in Texas, and with this heat, I hate running off the even hotter air under the hood.

Just wanting some clarification, I've looked into putting a rb series engine into my 260z and this is what i've figured out so far - tell me if im wrong or if there is an easier way to do things please, First choose which rb you want Then (this is from a point of view where i wont be making my own fabrication stuff, as my talent in this area is kinda limited) This is just to get the engine & box in place, Castlemaine-Rod-Shop sell engine mounts for the Rb30 into a Z (this should fit all rb series engines though?), These mounts are supposed to sit the engine low and pretty far back in the engine bay (or that i what i've been told) They also sell a gearbox cros…

I met this person the other day outside a local shop. I had seen the car driving around once before and this time i had a chance to stop by and check it out up close. This is a 72 i believe and it is the sweetest V8 swap i have ever heard of. This thing is a beast in person and she even poped the hood for me so i could give it a look. Very cool. Im gonna try and catch em down at the track sometime to see this thing in person. Check out their website. http://www.ratsun.com

Looking for guidance.just bought 77 280z and am undecided about whether to keep the stock engine and get some more hp out of the engine or go with the v8. Need some help on this. Also if I do go with the v8 I want to use the LS1 motor and the borg-warner t56 6 speed tranny. Is this a good combo? I know the automatic tranny would be easier but I like the manual tranny better. Where is there a good place to purchase the LS1 engine. Money is a issue, so would a regular 350 with cast iron block be just as good. thanks
