Further back in the thread of the engine bay pics there is a plate on the driver side. My 1/78 only has that plate as well. And of course one plate on the door jamb. I believe the 75 model also had the N42 head.

Not sure you have the right information. Others will chime in but that’s the correct head. IMO

Extremely strong exhaust smell outside of car - Normal?
Slightly over full oil level doesn’t cause oil leaks. Sounds to me from what you’re describing is a rear main seal at the crankshaft. Common issues on older cars. Requires dropping the transmission, clutch and flywheel to change that seal. I’d be more inclined to investigate where the coolant is coming from. Hopefully it’s a heater hose or connection in that area. A lot of research ahead. Clean everything off and watch for leaks as the motor is idling, .

The upper steel line coming out of the filter is the pressure side. Take pics of anything and everything before you consider taking it apart. Ask me how I know. Tons of pics on the internet. By the way do you have an FSM for your make and model? If not that’s thats the way to move forward before changing anything IMO.

Who's been MIA?
Gentlemen, Keep Chiming in. I need to know who else has lost their mind devoting their life to these S30’s. It’s a passion and personally I love it!

Have you installed a fuel pressure gauge between the filter and fuel rail on the engine itself? You will need that for diagnostics down the road and be able to see what is actually occurring. Quite a few threads here on that. Definitely a must do IMO. So many folks have been down this road.

75" 280z 4-piston brake refresh
I would lean towards going with a kit from @Patcon merely for the fact it’s been installed and the kinks have been worked out. Other than adding new pads you should be set.

@Patcon I can only assume my strut isolators won’t work on a 240. Merry Christmas friend

Brake fluid leak at master
IMO Contact Custom tube and have them produce one for you. I would stay away from the stainless version. They sell entire kits. Hopefully they will produce the line you need.

Let's show vintage racing pictures. I'll start.
Keep up the good work Rob. You are primarily the member that keeps the history/photos that bring back memories and the passion to which we loved and fell in love with for the love of these cars. I applaud you for your efforts. I hope others will chime in. Merry Christmas My Friend. John

Electronic ignition upgrade advice wanted
What is the condition of your distributor bushings? Meaning is there any wobble/back and forth movement when you move the shaft? If so you might want to go with a new system. IMO
