  1. Great on lowering the gas tank, rear diff as well. Third hand as we lay on the ground!!
  2. Now I am wondering if there is a template out there. I just want to ghost darker stripes below the clear coat.
  3. Hey Rob, We’re those stripes just on the left hand side?
  4. Good choice going with Jet Hot Coatings. The reviews and feed back are amazing.
  5. Or a smaller version would be a dremel with the cut off wheel and pliers!

  8. All comes down to how much they charge to fix a 40plus year old tank versus buying a new one.
  9. You also have to disengage the neutral safety switch by jumpering it at the harness. Right next to the backup light harness.
  10. @Dave WM suggested at the time of my reseals. Works great.

  13. All of the seals were still available through Nissan. There is a complete parts list posted by @EuroDat on the forum. With @dave wm help he guided me through resealing two close ratio transmissions. Be sure to change all of the seals including the ones in the shifter housing. I have a small amount of parts not many including the main shaft nut I didn’t need. Also the detent springs and ball bearings are still available as well as the speedo seal. Check out @EuroDat. A plethora of information there. I just took a torch to my shifter and put a small curvature in it to clear 5th gear.

  18. I’m frustrated at this point and can’t keep participating in a thread where not reporting back the findings in order to move forward in a systematic manner for a positive outcome is extremely frustrating for me personally. Familiarizing and educating yourself before jumping into this is extremely important. For that reason I’m out. Wish you the best yarb
  19. So you aren’t going to send them out to be rebuilt first? Not a good idea IMO.
  20. That’s all fine and dandy until the next guy goes by the textbook trying to fix it. Sure it won’t take long to see that it’s jacked up!
  21. Points/Condenser is the simplest ignition system ever. Frequent maintenance is what took them away from the industry. Easiest system to debug.
  22. Please Read the FSM. It will tell you exactly what to do. There is a soft copy available here on the forum. Do you have a copy to read?
