  1. Hey there. The site is still up, http://datsunzgarage.us/ Thanks @w3wilkes
  2. There's a very good and friendly member here that copied all that stuff. He's a computer guy named @heyitsrama I think! If it's not him I can find it when I'm back home, he posted it in a thread I replied to.
  3. Sounds like it's going to ground, or more sensibly sounding not going to ground. here's good read. No teflon tape and bad sending units abound.
  4. Mine doesn't do that, 240 or the 280. They stay down like the temp gauge.
  5. I put a set of chrome bumpers on mine from futofab and am very happy with them. The rear sides were a little bit of a pain getting the bolts lined up. I used small rubber washers between the paint and the mounting flats to keep from scratching. Bought stainless carriage bolts from Lowes and buffed them up to match the chrome. I would've sworn they were from Vietnam but they could've come from Taiwan? It was written on the boxes but as usual I took no photos of the trash but plenty of them once they were mounted. I bought mine on black Friday and got a good deal. No rubber, no holes just thin chrome bumpers.
  6. They had to add the back windows when they came out with 100s.
  7. Ask about the curing time for the Red-Kote. I've done two and both needed about a week baking in the sun. The directions say to not put fuel in until you no longer smell the liner's chemically smell. They may have a way to bake it though? The car looks great!
  8. And they are way easier to change than the rear wheel cylinders. Price is about the same too. It'd be cool if you could spend a few dollars and get it road worthy, drive it and hopefully keep it but sell it with the neat story and one owner car if you decided to sale. How about some pictures?
  9. Sissies get old too!
  10. Closely follow the prescription, "take 4 to 6 every one hour". I'm a little dyslexic.
  11. I was told 205/60 were the largest without issues rubbing. That's what I have. You could plug 205/50s in the calculator and see what it says. I'll get those next time around if they'll work. Go to MSAs website and look at the 15/7 Konig rewinds, scroll down to tire size and see what they say. I believe that's I went by?
  12. Is that when you get your prescriptions filled? Get well soon Steve. We all hope for a successful and speedy recovery. Cliff
  13. Here's a cheap way to see if your tank is rusty. They are around $3. Also tank cleaning thanks to @240260280. http://atlanticz.ca/zclub/techtips/fuel/g3filter/index.htm http://atlanticz.ca/zclub/techtips/fuel/gastank/index.htm Here's the whole enchilada, very helpful too. http://atlanticz.ca/zclub/techtips/
  14. They've reached 911 prices.
  15. Ah man, you didn't use self-tapping glass screws. 8^(
  16. That small mound around the plug looks a lot like my E31. My early E88 has a more pronounced hump but that could easily be ground down. I think you are right. Nice looking head in my opinion. Grinding the code off could also be a clue. Someone trying to pass an E88 as an E31?
  17. Mine runs great with the mechanical pump only, 2 round top SUs. Yours should too after you get the floats back to normal. It's hard to imagine a high pressure Holley on my 240. Fuel would be leaking out everywhere. I had the Blue ones for my boat motor, set at 3.5psi. They were fantastic pumps, noisy as hell but I knew it was running.
  18. '73 automatic for $3,200. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/224104808219824/ $3,200 Driven 48,565 miles Automatic transmission Mechanically sound, ready to drive or for someone to finish restoration. This car has been in the family since 1984. It was reupholstered, painted and in cherry condition in 1987. Poor thing sat for 20yrs here in Central Oregon before coming to me in 2007. I won’t get into the time and money I’ve scraped together in order to get it where it is, but I’m done and hoping to find an enthusiast to take over.
  19. Try clamping the return line and see if it stays at something constant.
  20. I like the urethane too. Much cheaper here and free shipping. https://www.jegs.com/p/Xenon/Xenon-Front-Air-Dams/2971003/10002/-1
  21. Me too Dave WM. I never liked the way it sits when you let it down off the jack, kind of "bow legged" looking to me. Thank goodness I can use drive up ramps now for just changing the oil. My car is hopefully done now at least for my monthly drive. Low bar.
  22. That's what caused my hanging high RPM. Cleaned the throat with lacquer thinner and an old toothbrush then rerouted the PCV hoses like the '78s. Works good now.
  23. I would replace the fuel filter up front, behind the radiator on the passenger's side. There about $10 or so from a chain store.
  24. That's one of those questions without a definitive answer. I have mine plugged and can not tell any difference. It's very hot here so I don't need the heat that builds up. Here's a good idea from 240260280 on running a hardline around the front of the head to the pump intake. 280s have that line if you want to go that way, I'm sure you could find one.
