  1. Are they aluminum or some type of steel? I ask because I had to grind my ceramic 6to1 where the 6 met into 1 and rubbed the bell housing. I've checked it many times usually when changing out the oil and there's still a nice clean cut. No rust after 6 or 7 years?
  2. I think it's the unrestricted exhaust, ie no catalytic converter. My souped up road race bike did it also. Straight exhaust with a small can on the rear.
  3. I have those same spatters on my garage doors and both my Zs have fresh motors. It's exhaust condensation I guess. It is normal for mine. Is this a new thing for your car? Edit... Edit#2 I have MSA 6to1 headers and their 2.5" exhaust on both cars. They push a lot of air, hence my spattering on the doors not the floor. https://www.google.com/search?client=ms-android-americamovil-us-revc&source=android-home&source=hp&ei=OA_PXKOBFMmEtQWb87e4CA&q=exhaust+condensation&oq=exhaust+condensation+&gs_l=mobile-gws-wiz-hp.1.1.0j0i22i30l3j0i22i10i30j0i22i30l3.2489.10845..13757...0.0..0.192.1925.1j14....2..0....1.......8..41j0i131j46i131j0i10.0uA6v8uPSdw
  4. A dip into some good urethane would really bring out the color I think. Looks good as is too.
  5. That's the current bid with no BUY IT NOW price, anxious to see what it goes for.
  6. Only thing I noticed was braided hoses in some pictures and slick rubber in some others. I guess some photos were from 12 years ago?
  7. Some great guitar work here. Stretched to the limit.
  8. Your right, the screwdriver poppers haven't found it. Glass looks good, that's an easy double your money buy. Get it Zed! Come over to the "tin can side". We're going to the moon wearing Reynolds aluminum foil wrap.
  9. @Lazeum I can't get to the members map from my phone? but see if you can and see the other French owners. They can tell you.
  10. I think you could claim it as the last $1,500 240Z and hang it from the ceiling like a pinata.
  11. Okay I'm sorry. We are talking about a specific air filter. Please don't change the original question. Thanks
  12. I don't know! I'm sorry for that too. What I'm remembering, at the moment, is @jalexquijano found that somewhere on the internet for the fuel rail. He has some hot restart issues. Could be an old Redline "Datsun" cover? Looks similar to the milling and filter material on some triple 40 webers I had. When I get back to my lap top I'll dig further. Does this look familiar @Zedyone_kenobi?
  13. That beautiful 240 will grow on you. I never drive my 280 anymore. Now I understand why Harley guys like the hardtail bikes so much.
  14. here's my attempt at helping/explaining with some measurements and the hardware I used from Lowes.
  15. Me too! Then I put one foot on the floor and it stops.
  16. It would be hard to make one look as good as your's Chas. OP, I've done my front bumper but the rear is gonna be a bite that I'm not take. It's a lot harder than the front so I told myself I needed the protection of the rear bumper. There's some dipstick driver's around here. 240 bumpers on a 280 look fantastic without the cost of a 240, better ride too.
  17. PCV? Edit: that's a shopvac hose I think so I made a sucker guess and was way off.
  18. A turbo ZX with an automatic was fun back then but I hated the n/a autos. They were 1, 2 and D but the speed limit was 55 mph. ,
  19. Those things work great. They do look like they'd be easy to make the only thing is that plastic collar's size. The other screw just has a piece of clear tubing on it. https://zcardepot.com/products/choke-lever-mounting-plate-reinforcement-240z
  20. Here's some good threads on doing that. That first one, the TECH article has a great write up from Arne. https://www.google.com/search?q=automatic+to+manual+transmission+classiczcars.com&rlz=1C1BOFA_enUS494US494&oq=automatic+to+manual+transmission+classiczcars.com&aqs=chrome..69i57.17286j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8
  21. It was a great picture I won't forget.
  22. Just make sure the plug in is the same. The early ones have a bullet type plug, later is a plastic 2 or 3 way.
