  1. My Dad told me when he was younger somehow or another they put plugs in the exhaust and made fireballs come out the pipes. My Dad bullshits me a lot though. Pretty funny now that he's 80 and nuttier than a squirrel's turd.
  2. Prolly been mentioned before but I watched Fast Times at Ridgemont High this weekend. Damone is selling tickets in the parking lot, '76 I think, 280 parked while Forest Witaker pulls up in his Camaro Z28.
  3. I remember your car. If it runs good put up some pictures and you'll get so many opinions you could figure out a happy medium. Seems like it was a respray red with automatic transmission?
  4. Squeeze the fuel lines in the engine bay to see if they're hard. With a good fuel pressure regulator and fuel pump they should be pretty hard to pinch or squeeze while running. There's been many gremlins fixed by wrapping the ECU a few times, not too hard though.
  5. Good kid. Pictures are well done. Congratulations.
  6. Ratchet straps.

I only have one supplier local to me with anything, Tractor Supply. I've tried the black stuff, too rough. Glass beads work the best in my opinion just ease into the surface getting closer as you need to. I have a moisture separator out of the compressor and a smaller one before the tool. My 60 gallon runs constantly while "sand blasting". Lots of moisture created all along. Good luck.
  8. Cool, I want one! Can hardly wait to see it running.
  9. Interstate Batteries, bling to my eyes. ??
  10. Here's a thread I found that talks about the water passages and the spacers. I apologize if I've confused your problem. I tend to think out loud a lot.
  11. The spacers in between the carbs and the manifold are a lot thinner than my '72. Would that have an effect on the length of the rod with the plastic marbles? Do the new spacers have the holes for water?
  12. Hard to tell but heres mine. there's a screw missing on the front carb stop on your first pic.
  13. I put my linkage back on wrong one time. Revved way too high right away. Check the stops on both sides, in the linkage between the carbs. Those flat things.
  14. Mark's the Man. I always forget the simple answers.
  15. Read @ajmcforester post below for some good info.
  16. I agree with two things above 100%. S30 is easier to work on but you'll need more than half of a garage. Best of luck whichever you choose.
  17. here you go...
  18. EDIT: this is JDM. Sorry Charles! is this it?
  19. Could be a different front clip. Is the rest of the engine bay white?
  20. Here's a couple of old threads that might be useful in some way or another with your console restore.
  21. It's on some finance commercial making the rounds this week. Saw it last night.
  22. Pretty sure the year went forward in September so your build date would be a 1970. I have a 9/76 that's a 1977 280Z.
  23. Welcome to the forum. Nice looking project you have. I found a thread I remember reading not too long ago that may be of interest to you. You could send him a private message maybe for more information? I'll tag him here and maybe he'll reply. @scotta
  24. I've found a nice one...
