  1. I bet he's remembering my post on how I came to realize I had almost no fuel in my chambers. I had starvation on my front carb driving up Mt Cheaha. I set my floats as the Ztherapy dvd suggested but they were using Grose jets when that video was shot. You can't do them that way with these needle valves. Just a guess though. I'm with you Mark, can't imagine setting proper levels going up a mountain.
  2. There's a guy not far from me with 3 500 plus HP 240Zs. Two have LS1s the other an RB, supercharged, twin turbocharged, reinforced frames and suspension, plus Wilwood big brakes He regrets doing it now that the prices have gone astronomical for stock 240s. I can't remember his username right off but he is active, or was, on hybridz. He owns a tool supply distribution franchise and used those as his advertising. Here's some reading on high power Zs. https://www.google.com/search?q=500+hp+240z&rlz=1C1BOFA_enUS494US494&oq=500+hp+240z&aqs=chrome..69i57j0.6491j1j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8
  3. There it is! EDIT: There HE is! So I'm #1 and you're #2. That makes @wal280z #3? There's four Wayouts, @240260280 maybe?
  4. They made a newer classification for me and my friends, 1,000 to 1,999.
  5. I couldn't remember who went with that color and it was Whee! My brain is relieved for a minute...
  6. Read the Datsun Z wikipedia page. It will tell you all kinds of information, timeline etc.
  7. Banzai has them. https://www.zzxdatsun.com/catDecals.php
  8. I like it too. Why Mr K decided on blue?
  9. As said already, working on mechanical stuff teaches you a whole lot of other skills. "Figuring out" sense too. Oh yeah, tools out the wazoo! I have things I'll never use again but maybe one day?
  10. Took some pics...
  11. I went back to my build thread and found I painted mine Pontiac Blue, sorry about that John. Also I thanked @Jarvo2 so he must have pointed me in that direction? Captain Obvious also busted my balls on my choice so don't feel lonely.
  12. Keep on marching soilder! I'm anxiously waiting a video chirping 4th and 5th. ?
  13. Keep on posting! We'll be following your build.
  14. Last one available... https://www.ebay.com/i/274063618542?chn=ps&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-117182-37290-0&mkcid=2&itemid=274063618542&targetid=313776934696&device=m&mktype=pla&googleloc=200524&poi=&campaignid=1669934606&mkgroupid=65058347459&rlsatarget=pla-313776934696&abcId=1123856&merchantid=137750631&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIvfPDj4-45QIVBKSzCh2mTQYlEAQYASABEgLh0_D_BwE
  15. $14! How does that number come up? Give a $10 & $5!
  16. I've always read on here it's the rust you can't see that's the bigger issue. That car has so much visible rust the unseen will be way worse.
  17. Mine has a mind of it's own...
  18. $50,000 for a '78? I'm no estimator for body work but I would try and find a nicer car too. There's a nice 240 for $19,000 on here now. Turn key and go for a drive. My two cents.
  19. Look above the 1st and 2nd spark plugs, closest to the radiator, for the cylinder head identifying numbers. N42, N47 most likely.
  20. Take it apart first and measure everything to know for sure. It could have over sized positions from previous rebuild. I would buy Tom Monroe's How to rebuild Nissan L Motors. Amazon has them for less than $20.
  21. Have you looked at futofab.com? My chrome plated plain straight ones came through him then to me from Vietnam. Same boxes too. They were/are perfect to me and were the better price. That was a 'black Friday sale" though but that's just around the corner
  22. I use a savings account I put just enough money in to cover the price. Give them that acct. # and they can't wipe out my checking account. You could never be overly cautious in my opinion. They are trying their hardest to screw us!
  23. All I can add is a picture of my early '72's set. Hope it helps in some way or another. If your using a phone you can "blow it up" pretty easy. If you need a specific area let me know and I'll get it asap.
