  1. You also have an issue on the positive side which I was also trying to ascertain. 2 volts is a pretty good drop to the rear. One day when your bored clean all the connections between the front and the back and recheck the same way. I am sorry I am having trouble visualizing your earlier description of where the splice might be Zed Head might be able to help. Clean all the ground points you can find. I don't know if @zKars hidden ground point plays into this too...
  2. PM'd Thanks
  3. Nissan would make splices in the harness for efficiency sake. Under the loom tape in the harness somewhere will be a small splice. They strip a little section off a wire and then strip the end of the other wire and attach them to each other with a small copper crimp. They can be hard to find. Sometime they corrode...another thing to check is take your meter and with a long lead or a long piece of wire tie the black meter probe to the negative battery post and post up your voltages again...
  4. 5 volts may not be enough to even make it glow...The 10 volts is pretty low too. What is the current battery voltage as a baseline?
  5. If I needed some currently I would order a couple of pairs but at the moment I don't have the need or the extra cash to hoard parts for future projects... They look great!
  6. Shoot a little starter fluid in the carbs and get the engine to turn over. It will pump faster and might prime it. It is very hard to prime the mechanical pump off the starter. Or you could also take the line off on the tank side of the fuel pump and pour fuel down it. It will fill the line to the tank so the pump doesn't have to try to create as much vacuum before it pulls fuel
  7. Jim, I would like to have it, if possible...
  8. Not to sidetrack but I would think #13 would be a $100k car even with the wrong hoses...
  9. @madkaw If you are talking about your link to the MS forum about your hall sensor and resistors and such, it shows up in the previous post when viewed from my laptop
  10. Be very careful about soldering on a fuel tank. They can still have fumes in them even after washing. Blowing yourself or someone else up is bad...

  15. So does anyone have a door lock cylinder laying around and an early gas door to see if it fits without reworking the door?

I will look up that high but if I mount them that high they would take your head off in a wreck. The belts in that picture have a long stick extension that moves the shoulder belt down beside your head...

We acquired some non retractable 3 point seat belts from SteveJ after his visit. I knew there was a mounting spot behind the vinyl in the B post, you could feel it. Went to install them today and cut through the vinyl. Surprise! The hole is there but no nut to bolt into. So now what? I need some ideas for getting a nut inside the B post up high and fixed without butchering anything...
  19. Long distance CH, that's funny!
