  1. Won a trophy in a local car show... Was a nice day to get the Kenmeri out.
  2. Don't blame the whole community for one person's, mine, comments. , Grudge's scam. You still seem injured from getting scammed. I posted so that other people in the community could avoid the scam, supposedly the very reason that you posted. We're on the same side. Posts like yours pop up every now and then and they're very helpful. What I posted in response shows people how to avoid the same thing happening to them. Sorry that you ended up paying but I could only remedy that part of your problem by sending you money. And that wouldn't make sense.

  4. Small project completed tonight, rebuilding the rear brake cylinders and rear struts. Couple quick shots of the completed struts with hardware and shoes. I'll post some more in depth pictures of the entire assemblies before and after.
  5. Looks like there is a new club starting for parts offered at $1000. Looks like I need to list a few things. 🤪

  9. Some of those threads are very interesting, and informative. Plus, I haven't turned a wrench on a Z since I parked the race car around 2009. I see a new way of approaching the various challenges of working on cars nearly 50 years old. Some neat insight to updating the fuel and ignition systems too. There has been a lot of change in the Z scene, and I've discovered I may be sitting on a small fortune in early Z cars. Of course Mrs. Racer 2.0 thinks I should capitalize on that and clean the place up some. Maybe I should trade her in. (jk) I'm looking forward to getting the brown Z driveable again, and then the others . . . . . . . . . stay tuned. Love the SCOTS, got YouTube playing a set of them right now. A guy I worked with years ago is from Roanoke, Virginia, and he turned me on to them, and some of the other Southern bands. Great stuff.
  10. I'll tell you Mr Racer, you're really digging deep into our forum. I got a LIKE from 2017! I appreciate that even though I know you're bored and quarantined but hats off to you for reading all the old stuff. I read as much as I can on here because these cars are close to my heart. My Dad used to take my keys away every time I looked at him wrong. Then I turned 17 and bought a '76 for $1,000 and put it in my Mom's name (they divorced when I was a baby) and gave him the keys to my Camaro and told him to shove them up his arse. One of the best things I ever did! He respected me a lot more after that plus I got bit by the Zeeee. Hang in there, Ms Racer will be home in......another month.
  11. Apparently the forum limits how many likes I can give in one day, so here is a thumbs up!
  12. $140,000 seems about right to me, fair price for the seller and buyer. Congratulations @brunodoggy
  13. $140,000 hammer, congrats! Hope we see the buyer here too.

Relativity came up n the early days of the pandemic. How bad is it compared to the common flu for example. The media still can't stop using death as the best measure though. Like when you read about a horrible accident and "they survived" implies that everything is okay. https://www.cnn.com/2020/11/18/health/covid-19-deaths-us-250k-trnd/index.html
  15. Few more pic's.. Old but new and just not used orig. KONI chocks. Made in the Netherlands. (Made in Holland) Chrome inner is as new.

Which side did you check? Check the wire that feeds the link. Looks like a white one. And it connects via a plug that could be disconnected or corroded. Follow the path back to the 15.1 volts. The FSM is available here on the forum also. https://www.classiczcars.com/files/category/14-280zx/

Okay thank you I'll give that a shot. I assume I should be focused on the black fusible link under the ACC box and not the others?

I don't know how comparable the 510 squeegee profile is to a Z, but this DIY alternative worked great on mine. I had ordered two outer door squeegees, installed one and somehow misplaced the other. For the 510 most of the quality rubber bits come out of Australia, and I didn't want to wait a month for this one piece. My local hardware store (Lowes) sells garage door seals in various profiles and materials. I found a rubber seal with a section of the profile identical to the squeegee. Measured the length needed, trimmed the unneeded section, and installed with the existing steel backing strip. I didn't have a staple gun strong enough to fasten both pieces together, but a very small rivet worked nicely. Once installed there was no physical difference in appearance or function from the "correct seal". https://www.lowes.com/pd/M-D-9-ft-x-2-in-Black-Rubber-Garage-Weatherstrip/1085381

Got my test results today! I’m clear, phew!!
  22. Seems 240K's they are just everywhere . Some photos of our recent classic racing event. Thanks to Clark C and Tony F for turning up and bringing me a back seat squab. That's Clark's immaculate grey 240K. Everyone was blown away by how tidy it was. Update the signwriting to the new logo and new engine fitted and ready for a proper event. A bit of tuning and we got an extra 10hp out of it. 260hp at the wheels. Leading the field - oh if only it could last. About to get ambushed in the reverse grid race
  23. My buddy's 78 280z near mint low mile all original Z will be following this one. Hopefully there are enough buyers out there.
  24. Some pics of the GTR Festival - not really a race event but great opportunity to run the engine in. The video is above but her is some pics of the K from the event. Thanks to Maria Panova Photography http://www.mariapanova.com/
  25. I'm no neurologist but one or 10 of these should help.
  26. I have ac. So it was even worse.
  27. Yes, they are yellow zinc. At least when I bought them a couple years ago. This is what they look like: And just in case there is any question about the orientation of everything, here's how it should go together. Small washers on the ends. Concave side of the large washers toward the bushings. Poly in front, rubber in back: And here's how it should look when installed:
  28. Saturday morning I went out before the heat and took some photos of the cars in the parking area.
  29. Thanks Head. Yes, our attempt at a driveline company didn't fly too far for too long. I guess I was blind thinking the CZC community was better than this. Trying to pick up some pieces of this last transaction. Thanks for the head's up and info.
