  1. Looks like 280z dash are right around the corner.
  2. That’s a one spicy brake a boosta Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile
  3. I wouldn't think you'd want the overflow reservoir sealed. If it were sealed it could interfere with the radiators vacuum as it cooled making it harder to suck the coolant from the reservoir back to the radiator.
  4. Air dam (and attached bag of hardware) fell on it after I moved it, while thinking "hmm...that's probably not a good place to put that." I was right! That's what I get for trying to clean up a bit. Guess it's time to start watching CL and the classifieds. ETA: looks like Summit sells a replacement for $90! I feel a little better now.
  5. Ordered. It's funny, I sent that vendor an email yesterday. He is in Canton, GA and was like 4 or 5 pages back in a Google search

Of the other way round. nicely prepped though. Its a mystery!
  7. DUDE!!! That Mustang diaphragm looks really promising. The same dots around the perimeter and everything. That would be a home run if it fit! Mustang parts aren't going anywhere. I'll order one. I am ok with the risk...

Did you get your parts from Europe or the states? You're right, EFI was mostly a states thing, for emissions. I think I've read about mysterious no injection notch N42's before. I had forgotten. I put my N42 on top of your E31. They look the same, cooling passage wise. The bores look different though. Might be another clue. The N42 would match an 86 mm bore.
  9. ***Update*** Hooked up the new ignition components, car has great spark, and runs. I'm going to also swap out the gas for a higher octane and give an in depth analysis on how it runs with the new components. All in all, I have spark back, and I'm a happy camper :) a few more notes: I went with an 'Accel' ICM, on an ACDelco heatsink and a MSD blaster 2 ign coil. Also used 10g wire for everything. 10. Mine runs great with the mechanical pump only, 2 round top SUs. Yours should too after you get the floats back to normal. It's hard to imagine a high pressure Holley on my 240. Fuel would be leaking out everywhere. I had the Blue ones for my boat motor, set at 3.5psi. They were fantastic pumps, noisy as hell but I knew it was running.
  11. No worries, As Annie used to say, "Tomorrow, it's only a day away.". In the meanwhile regarding the drooling........ Dennis
  12. Could just be a stroke. You'll need a note from your healthcare provider according to Article 6 of the bylaws. Dennis
  13. Likewise. I've learned a great deal about Weber's from this thread. Thanks and keep up the good work.
  14. It's not pressure in the overflow bottle that sends coolant back to the radiator. It's vacuum in the main radiator as it cools that sucks the coolant back to the radiator.
  15. Yes me too. Even though I have Mikuni's. The only thing I noticed was in all the years I have talked to others about Weber and Mikuni, I have never run into anyone say they were using a air jet over 200. I must have missed something along the way. Otherwise they would not make them I guess.
  16. Great project! Maybe you metal beater dude would like to vacation in Wisconsin for a week beating on another metal project? My 1971, cheap for me to fly him here than ship my car to him. ? Sent from my [device_name] using http://Classic Zcar Club mobile
  17. Absolutely, following along to increase my limited knowledge, even though my triples are pretty well set. Love the tinkering with jets, etc!
  18. Manuals , Fairlady Z manual for Japanese customers, and I have a very rare Fairlady Z manual written in English . Kats
  19. Yes, I read every entry. Fascinating, but above my paygrade
  20. This thread is very quiet. Are there others following it? Curious to know. Please chime in.
  21. ...........you guys are describing me and BamaZama to a “T”.........right Cliff? BTW.....the car was an absolute “steal”!
  22. I removed the plate on mine wasn’t doing anything Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile

Wouldn't an N42 head have reliefs for the injectors on the intake ports?
