So, Are you saying that when the gauge is hooked up outside the tank and you maneuver the arm the gauge works properly?

Did you test the gauge by grounding the wire from the gauge itself. It should move all the way over to full.

Sort of a Mcgiver moment here. Just a thought, Since you can’t see it can you get a very thin feeler gauge in there. Run it down until it makes contact and remove the gauge. At least you will be extremely close. Who knows it may work..

My original was brass and had a thick rubber bushing to fit the bracket. New from Nissan it’s a solid piece. All plastic

That valve is directional as well. Arrow points toward the booster.

Oil Pan for L28et engine. can I use alternative?
https://www.arizonazcar.com/engine They have a really nice aluminum pan that’s setup for what you need. It has internal baffles and the turbo port. A bit pricey.

Mystery is he was running those wheels and tires before the tear down. Did you use factory parts meaning stock/aftermarket. The TC rod is the only thing I can think of. Get it on a rack and start looking around.

I’d install the aftermarket 3/4 on the car and give it a shot. I think you’ll find that it will work. My two cents.

Indicator switch not staying up
@jfa.series1 might be able to pass on some knowledge. It certainly isn’t as intricate as the headlight switch.
