  1. I struggled with my 78 280z for quite awhile on vacuum issues. @Dave WM A known test for pretty much being sure you don’t have any leaks is while at idle loosen the oil cap and slowly remove it. The engine should sputter and begin to stall.
  2. Not the AFM. IMO

  4. @Mike Help @Madkaw get his identity back in order!! πŸ˜„
  5. The aftermarket pumps are used from what I’ve read here. My 2 cents are to go back with what the factory designed for the system. You stated earlier you only focused on the hoses themselves. Chances are as @zedhead mentioned it could be a coincidence. I recommend buying a roll of fuel line and run the gauge through the window and monitor as you drive. Either way you will accomplish the test result with an answer and you can reuse the hose elsewhere.
  6. TPS is very simple to check with a meter
  7. None on the 1/78 280.
  8. Call Max at Resurected Classics and he can answer that for you.
  9. Once again I’ll throw my 2cents in. Are we ready to rule out ignition at this point?
  10. What pump are you using? Factory or aftermarket?
  11. You mentioned pump and damper replacements. What did you install. Factory pumps are available very expensive. Dampner nla.
  12. There is a hole in the frame where the hose is routed. Don’t have a pic at the moment but it’s easy to see.
  13. Did ya find it next door!!πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

  19. Crossman Pellet gun back in the day.
  20. I agree, that’s the least of your worries!πŸ˜„
  21. Not problematic imo. Aluminum is lighter and probably dissipate heat faster. Not an engineer just my opinion. Producing aluminum cases with cast iron inserts have to be more expensive to produce. Take them to a machine shop and see if they are turntable.
  22. IMO take the originals to a parts house that turns drums. They will measure and tell you if they can be machined.
  23. As old as these cars are, Have you ruled out just changing the gauge itself?
