SS Bumpers from Vietnam
I ordered the black ones from futofab.com but they got back ordered. Lucky for me I was waiting on the MSA black Friday sale to get black Rewinds when I found out the bumpers weren't available. I decided to go with the gunmetal grey with the polished lip and the chrome bumpers. I'm glad it worked out that way. Too much chrome and glass that all mix in together to give it a nice look.

Rust Advice 78 280z
If I remember right, the wire under the seat is the one that finally made the light go off so I'll plug the G/Y back and see what happens. Thanks

Rust Advice 78 280z
Mine's a '77 with a ZX distributor so no help with the last two questions and a maybe on #1 at the brakes. My green/yellow stripe goes to the proportion valve down low. Mine is unhooked and I'm almost positive it was done so the brake light inside the gauge would go off. There was another wire under the passenger's seat I unhooked to finally get it to quit burning. I check the fluid all the time and rarely drive it but when I do it has good braking for that old of a car. Not a big fan of caution (idiot) lights on the dash. Fuel, temp and oil pressure is all I care about. 👍

If he has an dark plug at #4 have the plug wires been swapped around as a test. Loose fitting wire caps could be an issue with a lot easier fix. Just saying but I'm sure I'll get flogged.- Precision seals
What about I try with the hatch seal first. That's the one that lets all my exhaust fumes in. Then I'll do the passenger's door and see what happens. I never open that door. Thanks- Precision seals
You talking about these I'm sure because I bought the complete set about 10 years ago. Got them from a guy after he sold his Z. Glad I haven't yanked the OE yet.- COVID-19

Try the gauge before the filter. I'm sure the FPR vacuum hose is in good shape? You may have a collapsing hose somewhere.- COVID-19
Otherwise. unfortunately she had a fall and got a bilateral ankle fracture they're about to operate at 4pm. Sitting here now. She's in good spirits and the Doc says this is fairly routine in older bones that get a good hit as in falling. She'll be fine. Thanks for asking. No, no I'm feeling good. Temps good too. They check it before entry at the hospital. I have 10G service now. It's awesome! Oh yeah I'm out there! You know me, I'm way out there.- COVID-19
I've begun to test my vaccination, hard. Went to a family members birthday party Saturday. 50 plus people of all ages that were hugging and shaking hands. Went to see my Mom for the 3rd time today since Saturday a.m at the hospital. If I quit posting you'll know the Moderna is no good.- Engine idling at 3k RPM, I think I’m getting too much fuel from the carbs
Oh crap I did it again. Y'all are talking about Webers and I started reading at the last post. I'm sorry.- Engine idling at 3k RPM, I think I’m getting too much fuel from the carbs
Make sure these flats are in the right order. I put mine back on wrong and it shot up to 2 or 3 thousand rpms.- Cylinder wall rust.
I would call the machinest and ask what they did. What you paid for but don't wizz them off they may be your only help.- Cylinder wall rust.
Well wait a minute. They hot tanked it and it didn't get that blue paint off? Maybe they just honed the cylinder walls? Yep, I think your cylinder walls were just honed. Every block I've had dipped came back nothing but steel. No paint.- Cylinder wall rust.
The core plugs are really bad, people don't see that. I had mine hot tanked and then dug and chipped at the rear to get a little more. The cylinders look good, cross hatch I think they call it. You could dig more calcium out but that could break free on down the road. I think I would let it go as is, they did and they're day in and day out guys. Trust is tough but you have to on these old cars. Now when it blows up don't get mad at me.- The blue 510
All that stress gets me to drinking. Wait a minute, all that drinking gets me to stress. Just goofing. Your work looks great! I've always been amazed at what you can do. A true car guy and I watched "Ford vs Ferrari" the other day. You are Ken Miles in my opinion. He was a true no bull**** car guy. Matt Damon/ Carroll Shelby more of a salesman. If we had awards I would put you at #1.- Bringing a 1977 Z back life
You should park that outside until rain comes in. It happened in Memphis I remember and now again. My pilot lighted water heater is in my garage so that's kind of scary. I'd be like the house on Wizard of Oz flying through the air. Glad you have a phone in your pocket!
