  1. From what I've read the p79 head after a cut uses the 75 through 78 valves. I've not done this but here's a write up on that head mod. I'm no mechanic just a curious reads everything guy. https://datsunzgarage.us/p79/

Joking around here, you all know me by now. After dealing with Xfinity and Roku's "make it impossible to watch but charge the hell out them anyway" attitude I hope I get covid. My family will sleep better knowing I didn't go bat $^!# crazy and handle things myself.

Enjoy everyday you wake up. It's over folks. We had some fun though...
  4. The guy that owns @zcardepot.com had a car in Memphis on a trailer. It was a fixer upper too. Maybe he has some parts you need?
  5. @Patcon could've done a much better job with his assortment.
  6. Seems fair. A decent car even after the die grinder bounces.
  7. For what it's worth I've only replaced outers on my Zs as part of of refurbishing the steering racks. My '72 drives like it's on a rail, straight without any shake and that's the OE inner tie rods. I will add it's low mileage car however so take that into consideration. Mine is a once monthly driven car too so I didn't replace the inners. I think you can spend money elsewhere like new rotors, calipers and SS short lines on all 4 corners. I went with drilled and slotted rotors plus ceramic pads, new bearings and all that stuff. Very happy with the results too.
  8. I have Moogs and they're fine for my driving. No track time, just cruising around town and laying on it on the interstate. My Moogs have grease zerks so that's why I bought those. Remember the passenger's side is normal threads. Driver's side is left handed.
  9. Damn! I would have gotten you a gift yesterday.
  10. Patience, like caffine in Sprite, never had it, ha ha ha, never will.
  11. You can look through this registry and maybe find one close and assume it was on the same boat and went to the same dealership. Nothing definite but you can think your close. 240s only though, not sure what you have. https://zhome.com/IZCC/ZRegisters/ google results show a couple more. https://www.google.com/search?q=zcarclub.org&client=ms-android-americamovil-us-revc&source=android-home&source=hp&ei=TKH0YJGzB8b2swWh9ZfIBg&oq=zcarclub.org&gs_lcp=ChFtb2JpbGUtZ3dzLXdpei1ocBADMgQIHhAKOgUIKRCxAzoCCCk6CAgpEKABEIsDOgUIKRCgAToICAAQ6gIQjwE6BQgAELEDOgsILhCxAxDHARCjAjoCCAA6CAguELEDEIMBOggILhDHARCvAToLCC4QxwEQrwEQkwI6BAgAEAo6BAguEAo6BggAEAoQHjoGCAAQDRAeOgUIABDNAlD8FFjvQ2DISGgBcAB4AIABqgGIAd8LkgEEMS4xMZgBAKABAbABHg&sclient=mobile-gws-wiz-hp
  12. My older sister got me to eat a brown colored Crayon, said it was chocolate. I hadn't had a good clean wipe since 1973.

Are the revs going up as it falls flat? Wondering if the prop is slipping on the shaft from worn out hub splines. Another thing, is it going into gear completely? Mine would "spin out" if the gear shift drive cable was out of adjustment.

Wearing mask is back. No shitrts no shoes no mask, no entry. No shaving, no clipping nose hairs, no kissing girls asses. I'm happy! Let it be...
  15. Put a jerry can behind the car and run the fuel supply line into that, bypassing the fuel tank. You can also run a straight wire with alligator clips on both ends from the battery to the pump, bypassing all the pumps safety shut offs. Have a hose pipe or extinguisher close by when straight wiring the system. Remember everything after the pump is high pressure so be extra careful for loose or rotten hoses.
  16. I rember the plastic and the metal hold down piece. The zcardepot ones hopefully come with the rubber O-rings. You can use the old ones just be careful removing them from the old injectors. Try spinning them loose while they're still on instead of prying them off with a screwdriver.
  17. I hope they don't use the bumper mounts for towing that V8!
  18. These are $6.99 plus shipping. You might find them cheaper on Ebay. Good luck and I hope she sales quick too. https://zcardepot.com/products/fuel-injector-base-holder-trigger-280z-280zx-75-83?variant=19274253729905&currency=USD&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=google+shopping&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI6NSWrejl8QIV8QaICR2uBQ08EAQYASABEgK6f_D_BwE
  19. Absolutely fantastic looking car! You did a great job. Paint color is wonderful too. The worst title also. Sarcasim, I love it! You win!
  20. Glass out for sure. Anything other is lipstick on a pig.

If the "My pillow" crackhead could make money telling people to get vaccinated then the others would be civil and get their shots. This Delta variant is going to erase the progress we've made. The thing with it is it's affecting people's kids where the not so aggressive one was getting older people. God help us if your kid gets sick. That changes everything. And oh my, what if our dogs can get it? They'll run out of vaccinations/syringes then.
  22. https://www.ebay.com/itm/143523472367 https://www.ebay.com/itm/Datsun-240Z-S30-Rear-Bumper-Over-rider-Guard-OEM-NOS-/143523474380?_ul=IL Sorry, these are overriders not bumperettes.
  23. I used the bronze door pin bushings on both my cars. Easy to get and cheap. Tightens up the shifter a lot too. https://www.atlanticz.ca/zclub/techtips/shifterbushing/index.html
  24. The ITMs are lighter. I've got .030 over sized and way back when I did my research they were the lightest of the small group, maybe not a group just all that was available at the time. Don't forget to get an aluminum flywheel if you're going to do a weight watcher build, you won't regret it. I did a balanced weight and it was easy and fun to balance half the bottom, didn't touch the crank. Then balancing the valve train was the fun part, literally fun. I shaved the parts then wire wheeled them to be slick all around. Did a good cleaning after that with lacquer thinner then wiped everything down with good wheel bearing grease. Kinda proud of that if you can't tell.
