Are the first 2 cam lobes pointed up? http://atlanticz.ca/zclub/techtips/timing/mechtime.html If it's at TDC the pulley should only be able to go on with the slot for the square key pointing straight up. Is your AFM plugged in and sealed up good? You should check your vacuum and fuel pressure. Make sure these aren't crossed up too.

Ha! I'm with you on that, it's too hot for much of anything to get done around here. To be honest I'm not 100% my gauge lights even work. I never drive them at night. I did find some of the cool lighting Captain Obvious did but his photos won't show up in the treads. You notice the right side of your speedo? It's dimmer than the left. @Captain Obvious figured how to fix that but I can't find it. Captain, you got your ears on? Come back...

I don't think the dimmer works with leds. I like the white leds myself, just looking at photos of them.

Nice! Will you install led bulbs in the gauges? There's some good info here on that. Superbrightleds.com I think is where they get them. It really looks good.

I've got 2.5" on my '72 also. Mine won't fit up into the cut-out on the rear crossmember/differential mount and is a little low. I saw your picture and was amazed. Then I realized it's on ramps. Beautiful car.

@Av8ferg You're wanting a 240. If you haven't already spent a bunch on your efi buy these carbs. You'll have more comfortable 280 with 240 performance. I'll find rossiz'z thread on doing just that. It's a fantastic read with good results as planned. It's on my laptop, sorry but I'm using my phone atm. In my opinion that's the draw to 240s. Those SUs, when dialed in, are awesome. Totally different than efi to me.
