How old is the fuel filter? It does good after cooling? OR the sediment in the filter falls down. I went through that with mine. Ran good for 5 mintues then I walk home to get another car and tool bag. Get back and it fires right up, 5 minutes later "wash rinse and repeat".

Seems like mine show around 13.5 volts while idling. Go to a auto parts store and get a free load test. Check the tension on your alternator belt too. Could be a little loose?

Looks like the bottom half of a floormat to me? There's some canister routing with that rod alongside the valve cover me thinks. Just guessing. The top does look like a section of rebar cut out though. Never seen it stacked like that? There's some heat shield around the injectors too. Somebody buy it and answer our questions, please!

You can turn a long one into a short by drilling the pin holes higher. Member Madkaw did it with success. Now I have to drill the 2 front lids that I have left over for a set I'm rebuilding.

Nope! All good here. Waiting on cooler weather to put my new valves in a set of float lids. I'll have 4 good lids to swap out and see which valves work best. Hard to take apart a great running car at the moment. Oh yeah, mine had glass balls too! I think that's better from what I've read. Thanks again!!!
