  1. I took these on the way up from the deer blind. Does this help? Looks like 5 spot welds on the bottom section. there are some on the top too you can just barely see
  2. I suspect the debris could be coming off the chain guides. I don't know what else could shed like that inside the engine unless its been rebuilt in the past
  3. That bearing looks fine to me What do the timing chain guides look like? What is that draining out of the oil filter?
  4. Those repairs look fabulous. You are correct longevity is really important

I agree, double check there are no exhaust leaks
  6. @EuroDat You can't buy this but if you ever want some. I will gladly ship you some... C
  7. Don't buy from California datsun! I would prefer the 5 speed if it were mine. I believe you could go the 240SX route, too?
  8. Thats some expensive primer! I haven't bought any in a while but I'm using Nason, which is significantly less expensive
  9. I would say yes
  10. I find the incorrect items can be fairly easy to remedy. The VIN number is fixed however and they don't come up for sale that often and each year we lose a few of them.
  11. #229! Thats low. Hand throttle... Should draw a six figure number. If it doesn't it's a sign of the recent reduction in values. Even the other cars seem cheaper compared to 6 months ago
  12. That's possible. Most of these products cure for 30 days or more. I always wondered why high ends shops take so long to do cars and they seemed to sit for a long time between fits of work. Maybe that's why, they want all that shrinkage to set in before they continue work?
  13. That is what it appears like to me
  14. Is it easier to put the clip into the hole on the car first and then push the badge on? Where is a good source for the correct size pins?
  15. Do you have a link to what you bought? What was the thickness?
  16. I believe that was a factory option...
  17. Most of the heavy rain went East of us. It rained hard last night and we had some wind but nothing too bad, thankfully
  18. Some people drill and pin the spindle gear to prevent that
  19. Those are both really strong numbers for a 300ZX!
  20. We are expected to get a good bit of rain and possibly some relatively high winds but shouldn't be too bad. I'll know more Saturday or Sunday
  21. I would not consider those webers an upgrade to the SU's! Even triples might not really be an upgrade. Properly tuned SU's can support a lot of motor Steve beat me to it...
  22. So it takes weight to make it happen or the suspension in a certain position. That will narrow the possibilities
  23. I agree, don't put alot of heat into them. Cut a few seconds, let them cool, cut a few seconds... A 36 or 60 grit pad will give you the mm you need pretty quick
  24. I am unsure if these are the right part for you or not, but if I was going to trim them, I would pull a flap disc on a 4" grind and burn them down to what I wanted...
